Following heats in Australia, New Zealand and the U.K. National Adjudicator Lyndon Terracini AM, with assistance from local adjudicators, has selected ten impressive young singers who will perform at the 2016 Semi Finals Concert on Sunday 3 July at the Independent Theatre, North Sydney.

Congratulations go to Sarah Ampil (25 Soprano, NSW); Morgan Balfour (23 Soprano, NSW); Anastasia Bickel (25 Mezzo Soprano, Queensland); Eliza Boom (22 Soprano, New Zealand); Fleuranne Brockway (24 Mezzo Soprano, WA); Jarvis Dams (25 Baritone, New Zealand); Zoe Drummond (23 Soprano, NSW); Frederick Jones (24 Tenor, New Zealand); Nicholas Tolputt (25 Counter Tenor, NSW) andSarah Wang (24 Soprano, NSW)

The Semi-Finals Concert is your chance to hear the next generation of opera stars perform some of the most loved and memorable works in the classical singing canon. From charming lieder to lyrical arias, our ten Semi-Finalists will each sing two pieces accompanied by world-renowned accompanist and vocal coach, David Harper, as they compete to win a place in the Finals.

The Australian Singing Competition is open to singers under the age of 26, and offers a number of career-building awards (valued at more than $200,000) making it Australasia's premier competition and the richest of its kind for our finest young opera and classical singers.
