Upstream Theater presents Oedipus King (Oedipus Tyrannos) by Sophocles, in an English version by David Slavitt, directed by Philip Boehm.

Our production of this iconic work about a man fated to kill his father and marry his mother features J. Samuel Davis* as Oedipus and Amy Loui* as Jocasta, along with John Bratkowski*, Christopher Harris*, Dennis Lebby*, Laurie McConnell*, Peter Mayer*, & Emily Piro (*indicates member, Actors' Equity Association).

Set by Michael Heil, lighting by Steve Carmichael, and costumes by LaLonnie Lehman.

Performances: Oct. 8-10, 14-17, 21-24.

Times: 8 PM Thurs-Sat, 7 PM Oct 10 & 17, 3 PM Oct 24.

Tickets: $25, $20 for seniors 65 and over, and $15 for full-time students with valid ID. Group rates available.

The world premiere of The Death of Atahualpa adapted from the Quechua folk play by Philip Boehm. April 1-17, 2011.

And a free staged reading of The Rime of the Ancient Mariner December 18 and 19, 2010, directed by Patrick Siler.
