The Sheldon presents ArtSounds: Blues & Bling, at the Sheldon Art Galleries, Thursday, November 19, 2009 from 7 to 10 p.m. This exciting interactive music and art event in the Sheldon Art Galleries features a new blues-based composition by Sheldon executive director and composer Paul Reuter, and performed by acclaimed jazz and blues singer Kim Massie. Great art, world-premiere music, beautiful jewelry, signature cocktails and delicious hors d'oeuvres make this a ‘can't miss' evening!

"Bling" by Mary Pillsbury Jewelry Company will be available for purchase at sale prices beginning at 6 p.m. Proceeds from jewelry sales benefit the Sheldon Art Galleries. Food is courtesy of Triumph Grill, presenting a sneak preview of Grand Center's next new restaurant!

This special fundraising event is co-chaired by Ms. Susan Barrett, Mr. Jeff Edwards, Ms. Margery Plotkin, and Mrs. Anabeth Weil. Proceeds from this unique experience benefit Sheldon Art Galleries exhibits and educational programs. The event is underwritten by Jeanne and Rex Sinquefield and is sponsored by RKL Consulting, Peggy Walter Symes and Anabeth and John Weil.

Patron Tickets are on sale now and range from $75 - $500, including cocktails, hors d'ouevres, dessert and a tax deduction. Upper level patrons will receive a commemorative, limited-edition signed bottle of wine with label design by Berlin artist Jessika Miekeley. For tickets call Lauren Schwartz at 314.533.9900 ext. 17.
