Mustard Seed Theatre will present Moliere's Tartuffe April 23-May 9, 2010. Translated from Moliere's French by Richard Wilbur, the witty rhyming couplets keep the action moving as the plots swirl and power is stolen. Join Mariane, Elmire and their maid Dorine as they try to convince Orgon that Tartuffe is an imposter and not a saint.

The title role will be played by Mustard Seed Theatre Resident Artist (and Kevin Kline acting award winner) Gary Wayne Barker, with J. Samuel Davis as Orgon, Mustard Seed Theatre Resident Artist Kelley Ryan as Elmire and Kevin Kline acting award winner Colleen Backer as Dorine. The rest of the cast includes Resident Artists Phillip Bettison, Peggy Billo and Kareem Deanes, Mustard Seed's Production Manager Carmen Larimore Russell, Michael Brightman, David Chandler, Richard Lewis, Jackson Mabry and Zoe Sullivan. The production is directed by Deanna Jent.

Tartuffe performances are April 23-May 9, Thursday-Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. at the Fontbonne University Black Box Theatre in the Fine Arts Building at 6800 Wydown Boulevard in Clayton. Tickets are $20.00 for general admission, $15.00 for seniors (65+) and students. VIP tickets that include priority seating, an MST coffee mug and one bakery item are available for $30.00 each.
