Disney Theatrical Productions and Fox Associates have announced that tickets for the St. Louis premiere of Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins featuring original Broadway stars Ashley Brown and Gavin Lee will go on sale to the public on Sunday, April 26 at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available at the Fox Theatre box office and all MetroTix outlets. Tickets may be purchased online at www.metrotix.com or by calling 314-534-1111. KEZK's Ed Goodman will be at the Fox Theatre box office where the first 102 ticket buyers will receive Mary Poppins merchandise. Broadway's perfectly magical musical will begin performances at the Fox Theatre on Thursday, August 13 for a limited engagement of three weeks through Sunday, August 30.

Mary Poppins, a co-production by Disney and Cameron Mackintosh, recouped its entire Broadway investment in 52 weeks and firmly established itself as the most popular show from the 2006-2007 theatrical season. Consistently among the top-grossing shows on Broadway, the production celebrated its two-year anniversary at the New Amsterdam Theatre on November 16, 2008.

Based on P.L. Traver's cherished stories and the classic 1964 Walt Disney film, Mary Poppins features the Academy Award®-winning music and lyrics of Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman. The stage production was created, in collaboration with Cameron Mackintosh, by Academy-Award®-winning screenwriter Julian Fellowes, who wrote the book, and the Olivier Award-winning team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, who composed new songs and additional music and lyrics.

Olivier Award-winning director Richard Eyre leads the Mary Poppins creative team, with co-direction and choreography by Tony® and Olivier Award winner Matthew Bourne. Mary Poppins features set and costume design by Tony Award® winner Bob Crowley, co-choreography by Olivier Award winner Stephen Mear, lighting design by Howard Harrison, orchestrations by William David Brohn, music supervision by David Caddick, and music direction by Brad Haak.

In St. Louis, Mary Poppins will play Tuesday through Friday evenings at 8 p.m.; Saturday at 2 & 8 p.m.; and Sunday at 1 p.m. There will be performances on Sunday, August 16 and 23 at 6:30 p.m. There is also a Thursday matinee on August 27 at 1 p.m. Ticket prices range from $28 to $75 and are subject to change. There are also VIP Ticket Packages available for $130 on select performances; which include premium seating and a complimentary souvenir program. Orders for groups of twenty (20) or more may be placed now by calling 314/535-2900.

The St. Louis engagement of Mary Poppins is presented by arrangement with Fox Associates and is a subscription offering of the U.S. Bank Broadway Series.
