On Tuesday, August 21, families will once again experience Kids' Night on Broadway (KNOB) with the musical THE LION KING at The Fabulous Fox. Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation (FPACF) presents this evening of interactive events which begins at 6pm with African drumming and dance by Afriky Lolo's young dancer group Yele and a Craft Alliance activity tent in Strauss Park. Events move to The Fox lobby across the street at 6:30pm where kids will be able to create their own African storybook and headdress, watch a mini-musical about what it takes to put on a Broadway show and learn about area performing arts classes. A Q&A with cast and crew from The Lion King will take place in the theatre after the performance.

Families can also take advantage of specials at local restaurants prior to this show by showing their tickets. The following restaurants are participating: The Fountain on Locust, Kota Wood Fire Grill, The Bistro at, Grand Center, Grand Buffet at the Fox Theatre, Vito's Sicilian Pizzeria & Ristorante, City Diner South Grand, Flying Cow, Frozen Yogurt Co., Humphrey's Restaurant and Duff's Restaurant. KNOB is a national initiative sponsored by the League of American Theaters and Producers and is in partnership with the Fabulous Fox Theatre. On this special day we offer adults the opportunity to purchase a ticket and receive a child's admission free to a wonderful performance at The Fabulous Fox Theatre. Area restaurants show their support by offering free or discounted child's entrees with the purchase of an adult entree. The performance is kicked off by lots of kid-friendly interactive activities in the Fox Theater lobby prior to the show. Kids' Night on Broadway is truly one of the most splendid celebrations of theater and young audiences in St. Louis.
