There is deadly business afoot Oct. 15-31 when Mauritius by Theresa Rebeck plays Centre Stage. Directed by Chip Egan

This production contains language that some may consider offensive.

After their mother's death, two estranged half-sisters discover a book of rare stamps that may include the crown jewel for collectors. One sister tries to collect on the windfall, while the other resists for sentimental reasons. In this gripping tale, a seemingly simple sale becomes dangerous when three seedy, high-stakes collectors enter the sisters' world, willing to do anything to claim the rare find as their own. Variety says "Unsurprisingly for a writer with extensive experience in TV police procedurals like ‘NYPD Blue' and ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent,' one of Rebeck's strengths is her skill at stitching tension into every exchange."
Director Chip Egan (Greetings! Tomfoolery) has assembled a powerhouse cast for this suspense thriller. Featured are Debra Capps, J. Michael Craig, Brock Koonce, Neil Shurley and Anne Tromsness.

Tickets are $25 for adults, with discounts for students and seniors. All seats reserved. The box office can be reached at 864.233.6733, 2-6 p.m. Tuesday-Friday, and 2 hours before performances. The theater is located at 501 River Street inside the Citi Smith-Barney building just one block off Main Street in downtown Greenville.
