Electric City Playhouse Hosts Open Call 5/4 - 5

By:

The Electric City Playhouse (514 N Murray St, Anderson) will be hosting an Open Call Audition for all actors, singers or performers on Tuesday, May 4th, and Wednesday, May 5th, starting at 6:30 pm. Individuals representing several theatres, choral groups and acting troops will be on hand with directors and producers from all over the Upstate. All are invited and all will be given equal billing.

Registration is requested and can be made at (864) 224-4248 or by emailing info@ecplayhouse.com.

In the early 1980's, as Anderson was beginning to grow, a group of theatre lovers at Anderson Community Theatre (ACT) began discussing the possibility of starting a new and different "alternative" black box theatre. After many meetings, and a lot of hard work, Electric City Playhouse was formed and incorporated on February 14, 1984 as a non-profit organization. Electric City Playhouse is proud to present six season shows each year, along with Special Event Fundraisers, and a great, two-week children's youth drama camp and production. More information can be found at their website: www.ecplayhouse.com.
