Anderson University Student Set To Star In Greenville Little Theatre's JOSEPH Greenville Little Theatre (GLT) is thrilled to present the 2018-2019 season opener, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat which will run September 7 - 30.

The first full-length musical by the award-winning team of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, Joseph is a reimagining of the Biblical story of young Joseph, sold into slavery by his brothers after his father favored him with a gorgeous colored cloak. His gift of prophecy saves him from an uncertain fate and helps him to rescue Egypt from famine. Described as a high-voltage extravaganza with a high-energy mix of music and dancing from 50's rock to calypso to country, this show is hailed for its family-friendly storyline, universal themes, and unforgettable music.

Anderson University sophomore Griffin Lewis stars in his first title role at GLT, along side local favorites Mary Evan Giles as The Narrator, and Rick Connor as Pharaoh.

"I'm a music education major and I've loved music all my life, but going to Anderson University and pursuing my love for music has been so uplifting" says Lewis. "My time at Anderson has added to my musical knowledge so much, and it helps me tremendously in performances."

Resident GLT choreographer Kimberlee Ferreira and director of Joseph adds, "We are having a wonderful time working on Joseph. So much dancing and singing to be had! I love having such talented dancers in the show. They always have awesome ideas and I truly appreciate all of their help. The entire cast is stellar- even weeks before opening. They sound amazing."

"Tim St.Clair, GLT resident Musical Director, is a top notch musical director and one of my favorite people in the world to work with" she continues. "We have talked about doing Joseph together for years. I'm glad we finally get to do it with this amazing cast.
