- April 26, 2018 After a successful festival at Artscape Theatre last week that saw nightly sold out performances by enthusiastic Learners from several Western Cape high schools and excellent responses from audiences, the Shakespeare School Festival (SSF) is set to start at the Baxter Theatre on 7 May. Running over an exciting six day period, the SSF is an education program aimed at improving language and social skills through the Performing Arts. It is Educape's flagship initiative that was launched in 2010 by Kseniya Filinova-Bruton with the objective of strengthening the link between the Arts and education. Since inception, the SSF SA has grown from an event that attracted 20 learners, to drawing approximately 2000 youth across the Western Cape, Gauteng, Kwa-Zulu Natal and the Eastern Cape.
