Darling of the South African stage, Jonathan Roxmouth to perform STAGE BY STAGE at Theatre On The Bay

Jonathan Roxmouth, multi-award- winning singer, musician, actor and darling of the South African stage, released his debut album entitled STAGE BY STAGE last year. The album features a wide selection of songs from the greatest shows in the musical theatre canon, a clutch of which have featured Roxmouth in leading and supporting roles. Now, Roxmouth has created a stage show based on the album, creating a fantastic ride unlike anything he has ever done before.

The world of musical theatre has long been a source of great tunes, catchy lyrics and iconic characters. From the twinkling lights of Broadway to the hallowed streets of London's West End, there are many songs to be sung and stories to be told. In STAGE BY STAGE, Roxmouth shares some of his own stories and personal anecdotes that will give you a peek behind the scenes and have you chuckling as you tap your toes to highlights like the raucous 'Broadway Baby', the swinging 'Luck Be A Lady Tonight', the groovin' 'Beauty School Dropout' and a gutsy Gaston singing 'Me'. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

South African audiences may not be able to see every Broadway and West End musical on stage in this country, at least they can lay claim to Roxmouth, whose magical glimpse into those glorious productions does them proud.
