Cape Town Pride Festival Presents MONDAY'S A DRAG at On Broadway, Feb 28th
It's official! M.A.D. (Monday's a Drag) is the name of this year's Pride Divas show at On Broadway. For the past four years the Pride Divas have played to packed houses making this unique event a highlight of the annual Cape Town Pride Festival. This year will be no different. Expect an evening of madness, hilarity and insanity as some of the Mother City's top drag divas demonstrate that life is more than a cabaret, old chum. It's simply MAD!
The theme of this year's Cape Town Pride Festival is "Love Our Diversity" and director Liam Paterson has succeeded in bringing together a very diverse band of Divas on to the stage at the same time.
Sheena Alexander and Victoria Caballaire are famous Cape Town institutions, having performed with the legendary Brunswick Follies as well as the notorious drag shows at club 55. Both are veteran Pride Divas.
Celeste and Madones have been part of Pride Divas for two years in a row and are the stars of Bond Ambition. Together they make up the crazy Chernobyl House duo that was all the rate on YouTube last year.
Theodore is the Grand Old Lady of Drag who brings a touch of old Hollywood glamour to the show. Fabulash is one of a new generation of drag artistes who are taking the Mother City by storm like a breath of fresh air. Also starring in the MAD extravaganza will be Bambi and Samantha Knight.
From Garland to Gaga, together these performers bring to Pride a once in a lifetime show that can only be Stark Raving M.A.D! If you love drag with a twist, do not miss this multimedia extravaganza.
