In the mythical village of Titi-Pu, where flirting is illegal, a young man on the run from his over-eager fiancée is searching for the woman who stole his heart. Unfortunately, she has already been promised to her much older guardian. A series of seemingly fool-proof plans are hatched, only to be foiled by the merciless Mikado. A snappy, 1940s-style adaptation of a Gilbert and Sullivan classic!

Nominations are being accepted through Friday, February 14, 2014 for Actors' Equity Association's annual Rosetta LeNoire Award. The award, established in 1988, recognizes an individual or institution that has made outstanding contributions to American theater while also holding an exemplary record in hiring or promoting ethnic minorities, female actors, senior actors and actors with disabilities. Nominees must have a working relationship (and history) with Equity.

Actors' Equity Association's National Equal Employment Opportunity Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2011 Rosetta LeNoire Award. The deadline for nominations is Friday, February 11, 2011. Created in 1988 and named in honor of the noted actress and producer Rosetta LeNoire, the award will be presented at the annual Equity Membership Meeting in April.

In the spring of 1939, two musical adaptations of Gilbert and Sullivan's 1885 music theater masterpiece "The Mikado" opened on Broadway. One, which had originated in Chicago, was called "The Swing Mikado." The other, which producer Mike Todd created when he was prevented from producing "The Swing Mikado" himself, was called "The Hot Mikado."
