David T. Little’s Soldier Songs has been hailed for its powerful exploration of the perceptions versus the realities of war. Based on interviews with veterans of five wars, the piece combining elements of theater, opera, and rock-infused concert music has received several imaginative stage productions.

This episode of Broadway Rewind is a look at Disney's Mary Poppins and a behind the scenes look at director John Doyle's production of the Stephen Sondheim and George Furth musical Company, which welcomed back to Broadway Raul Esparza as Bobby. Raul told BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge, 'The show is a groundbreaking piece of musical theatre, that is a masterpiece. I've seen many, many productions of it, and I've enjoyed them all, but I never knew, that it was this good and I feel like it was just written.'

In his new film, Broadway: Beyond the Golden Age, which will be out next year, Rick McKay interviews Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award winner Wendy Wasserstein in 1999. Known for her award-winning play THE HEIDI CHRONICLES, he put this short piece together for his film/tv producing partner, Jamie deRoy, who is part of the producing team of the new revival of THE HEIDI CHRONICLES on Broadway, starring Elizabeth 'Mad Men' Moss. Choreographer Doug Elkins and co-directors Barbara Karger and Michael Preston have announced that they will conclude a three-year tour of the acclaimed production Fräulein Maria at Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, August 22-26.
