MUSE/IQUE takes a look at The UnAmericans: Talented and Targeted in a moving and probing program conducted by Artistic and Music Director Rachael Worby, Wednesday, June 21 and Thursday, June 22 at 7:30pm at The Huntington Library in San Marino, and Sunday, June 25 at 7:30pm at the Skirball Cultural Center in West Los Angeles.

Arts Centre Melbourne has joined with the Victorian College of the Arts, The University of Melbourne and ACMI, to present a diverse range of specially commissioned contemporary dance and theatre and installation based performances created and performed by artists from Singapore, Indonesia, Taiwan and Australia. The Jewish Museum's 2017 slate of lectures, discussions, and events begins in January with a lecture by curator Tessa Murdoch of the Victoria and Albert Museum, and a discussion featuring contemporary artists Uri Aran and Ian Cheng.  Other highlights include an adult studio art workshop and gallery discussions on specific themes and topics related to current exhibitions.

The Jewish Museum continues its fall 2016 slate of lectures, discussions, and events in November with Wish You Were Here: Golda Meir portrayed by award-winning actress Tovah Feldshuh, in conversation with the Jewish Museum's Jens Hoffmann; and noted architect and critic Kenneth Frampton discussing the Maison de Verre (The Glass House), Pierre Chareau's signature building in Paris. 

Classic Stage Company, under the leadership of Artistic Director Brian Kulick and Executive Director Greg Reiner, today announced plans for its 2014/2015 Season. The upcoming season for the esteemed off-Broadway company begins in October with Rodgers & Hammerstein's ALLEGRO, directed by Tony Award-winner and CSC Associate Director John Doyle. ALLEGRO marks the second installment of CSC's Musical Theater Initiative, which launched last year with the company's hugely-successful production of Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's Passion, directed by Doyle. Considered one of Richard Rodgers' and Oscar Hammerstein II's most personal and groundbreaking works, ALLEGRO was their third collaboration and first premiered on Broadway in 1947.

This month of public programs presented by the National Jazz Museum in Harlem features retrospectives (Louis Armstrong and Hank Jones), discussions with two of the most prominent and influential contemporary saxophonists (Joe Lovano and Steve Coleman) as well as a talk with top jazz journalist Bill Milkowski, and live performances that riff on the connection between visual art and jazz, by trumpeter Marcus Printup and trombonist Ryan Keberle at the Rubin Museum of Art, and the NJMH All Stars at the Studio Museum in Harlem. The New York Philharmonic will present The Russian Stravinsky: A Philharmonic Festival conducted by Valery Gergiev on April 21-May 8, 2010. The three-week festival - one of several initiatives launched during Alan Gilbert's first season as Music Director - will offer an in-depth look at Stravinsky, exploring how his Russian roots informed his works. Led by the Russian-born Mr. Gergiev, the festival will feature eight programs over three weeks, including concerts, lectures, pre-concert talks, radio broadcasts, podcasts and an Archives exhibit.
