Berkeley Playhouse at the historic Julia Morgan Theater continues their most acclaimed season yet, with The Addams Family. The show isdirected and choreographed by long time Berkeley Playhouse associate Kimberly Dooley (Berkeley Playhouse's Mary Poppins, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, The Wiz, Suessical the Musical.). Welcome Home, Captain Fox!, Anthony Weigh's new version of Jean Anouilh's hit 1937 comedy Le Voyageur Sans Bagage, will begin previews at The Donmar Warehouse from Thursday 18 February . The production is directed by Blanche McIntyre, and a cast that includes Michelle Asante, Barnaby Kay, Rory Keenan, Katherine Kingsley, Trevor Laird, Sian Thomas, Danny Webb, Fenella Woolgar and Daniel York.

Sian Thomas will be taking on the role of Mrs Fox in the Donmar's production of Welcome Home, Captain Fox! replacing Francesca Annis who regrettably has had to withdraw from the production for personal reasons.

John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men opened on Saturday night at the White Theatre inside the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park, Kansas. Bill Christie directs one of the finest productions of the tragic play produced in the Kansas City area. John Steinbeck's books and plays, though classics, are not for everyone, but the production at the White Theatre is of such a high quality it should not be missed.

For our March feature, my colleague Jeff Walker and I thought that instead of marking the Ides of March with songs about murder, betrayal, and fate, we would focus on the synergy between showtunes and Shakespeare.
