Following successful and inciting on-campus presentations and filming of the Every 28 Hours (E28H) Plays at Howard University on October 21st and Bowie State University on October 31st, Howard alums and E28H producers Maleke Glee and Tevin Giddens will spearhead a digital and cross-collegiate initiative across social media platforms to encourage an open dialogue that further expands awareness, and provides a space for activism, healing, and psychological resilience in the face of systemic violence against black bodies.  To begin this endeavor, Williams College, a liberal arts institution of higher learning in MA, will join forces with their DC counterparts and produce an event that will spark conversation online.

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and Music Director Louis Langree are pleased to announce details of the second installment of a three-year exploration of Maurice Maeterlinck's 1893 symbolist play, Pelleas et Melisande, a collaboration with director, production designer and visual artist James Darrah. ACTRESSES: AN ADAPTATION OF CHEKHOV'S 'THE SEAGULL' is the kind of production that captures one's attention. The poster is excellent, with an image that is as provocative as production company Black Hole Collective's description of their work. Anon Chekhov's 1895 drama was first produced the following year and became a landmark play in Konstantin Stanislavsky's 1898 staging for the Moscow Art Theatre.

The American Shakespeare Center's Spring Season production of ARMS AND THE MAN by George Bernard Shaw opened Friday, April 29, and runs through June 11 at the Blackfriars Playhouse, in Staunton, VA.  The production features Andrew Goldwasser as Captain Bluntschli, Zoe Speas as Raina Petkoff, and Josh Innerst as Sergius Saranoff.
