BroadwayWorld is saddened to report that Joseph Masteroff, the Tony-winning librettist of the international musical classics, Cabaret and She Loves Me, died on September 28th 2018 at the Actors Fund Home in Engelwood, New Jersey. He was 98 years old.

American music icons Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons take the Auditorium Theatre stage on Saturday, November 3 at 8PM. Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC) this week announced its 2019 season line-up, featuring a look inside contemporary Christianity with Lucas Hnath's Obie Award Winning Play, The Christians and a West End and Broadway hit with Richard Bean's farce, One Man, Two Guvnors, in addition to the popular Young Playwrights Project, Shakespeare, and CTC's signature New Play Workshops.

Due to popular demand, United Solo brings back Olympia Dukakis to teach in the Master Class Series on September 16, 2018 at Theatre Row in New York City. The class, "The Importance of Craft," will teach students to identify and develop what is important to them as performers. Ms. Dukakis will explain how to approach the craft of acting as a personal connection to the thoughts, actions, circumstances, and character, as expressed and defined by the text. "My most important tools when I teach are my own sensibility, my personal perceptions, my knowledge of the craft, and the excitement and satisfaction I always feel with students," said Ms. Dukakis.

Broadway Palm kicks off its 26th season with Let's Go to the Movies, a revue created, written, directed, and choreographed by Victor Legarreta. The show is loosely organized (with 'loosely' being the operative word) into three sections: Classic Hollywood, Imagination, and Movie Musicals.

Now entering its 56th season, the New York Youth Symphony (NYYS) is launching a Musical Theater Composition (MTC) program, to be led by newly-appointed director Anna K. Jacobs. United Solo is proud to host Oscar winner and critically acclaimed actress Olympia Dukakis, who will teach a Master Class as part of the United Solo Professional Training Program on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Theatre Row in New York City.
