American music icons Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons take the Auditorium Theatre stage on Saturday, November 3 at 8PM. The performance is preceded by the Auditorium Theatre's Annual Fall Gala, which this year honors Auditorium Theatre board member and Chair Emeritus Mel Katten with the third annual Adler & Sullivan Award for his commitment to the Auditorium and the performing arts.

Albee's boundary-pushing play is puzzling, powerful, bawdy, and disturbing.

Chautauqua Theater Company (CTC) this week announced its 2019 season line-up, featuring a look inside contemporary Christianity with Lucas Hnath's Obie Award Winning Play, The Christians and a West End and Broadway hit with Richard Bean's farce, One Man, Two Guvnors, in addition to the popular Young Playwrights Project, Shakespeare, and CTC's signature New Play Workshops.

Due to popular demand, United Solo brings back Olympia Dukakis to teach in the Master Class Series on September 16, 2018 at Theatre Row in New York City. The class, "The Importance of Craft," will teach students to identify and develop what is important to them as performers. Ms. Dukakis will explain how to approach the craft of acting as a personal connection to the thoughts, actions, circumstances, and character, as expressed and defined by the text. "My most important tools when I teach are my own sensibility, my personal perceptions, my knowledge of the craft, and the excitement and satisfaction I always feel with students," said Ms. Dukakis.

Broadway Palm kicks off its 26th season with Let's Go to the Movies, a revue created, written, directed, and choreographed by Victor Legarreta. The show is loosely organized (with 'loosely' being the operative word) into three sections: Classic Hollywood, Imagination, and Movie Musicals.

Now entering its 56th season, the New York Youth Symphony (NYYS) is launching a Musical Theater Composition (MTC) program, to be led by newly-appointed director Anna K. Jacobs. In a partnership with the Harlem School of the Arts, this new program aims to diversify the world of musical theater by creating opportunities for young composers to have their compositions workshopped and performed by both peers and professionals.

Tanglewood's season-long Bernstein centennial celebration will culminate in a gala concert on Bernstein's actual 100th birthday, August 25, to be recorded by Great Performances for an exclusive U.S. broadcast premiere December 28 at 9 p.m. on PBS

A Red Orchid Theatre presents a special summer engagement of Victims of Duty by Eugene Ionesco and directed by Shira Piven. Turner Classic Movies (TCM) will pay homage to the glittering world of Hollywood musicals with Mad About Musicals!, a special month of programming celebrating timeless movie musicals such as The Wizard of Oz, Singin' in the Rain and Cabaret. TCM is once again partnering with Ball State University and Canvas to offer a free online multimedia course tied to this programming special about the history of the musical genre and its evolution with cultural and technological shifts. Hartford Stage Artistic Director Darko Tresnjak and Managing Director Michael Stotts today announced the cast and creative team for Athol Fugard's A Lesson from Aloes. Ariyon Bakare, Randall Newsome and Andrus Nichols will appear in the revered Fugard drama. The play will perform Today, May 17, through Sunday, June 10 - closing out Hartford Stage's 2017-18 season. Tresnjak will direct.

'Oh, What a Night' it will be when Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons return to DPAC following their two sold out shows. Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons will be at DPAC on September 30, 2018.

The Center for Ballet and the Arts at New York University (CBA), the first international institute devoted to the creation and academic study of ballet, today announced the 27 artists and scholars who will serve as CBA Fellows in the 2018-19 academic year. The group - which represents The Center's largest and most far-reaching cohort yet - features distinguished individuals in a range of disciplines, including scholar Cecile Feza Bushidi, lighting designer Brandon Stirling Baker, choreographer Chase Brock, choreographer, filmmaker, and dancer Pontus Lidberg, and scholar Janice Ross, among others.
