Victoria Theatre Association's Projects Unlimited Star Attractions presents the greatest family musical of all time, THE WIZARD OF OZ, Oct. 23-25 at 7 p.m. in the Benjamin & Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center.

The Rob Guest Endowment is delighted to announce the 2018 Rob Guest Endowment Finalists. Competing against over 200 applicants, six outstanding artists were chosen by an expert panel of judges, which included Dave Skelton, Kellie Dickerson and Chris Parker.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and rediscovery of musical gems from the past, presents the Off-Broadway premiere of the acclaimed new musical Midnight at The Never Get, with book, music, and lyrics by Mark Sonnenblick, co-conceived by Sam Bolen, by arrangement with Visceral Entertainment and Mark Cortale Productions.  Directed by Max Friedman, with choreography by Andrew Palermo, and music direction/arrangements by Adam Podd, the cast will feature Sam Bolen, Jeremy Cohen, and Jon J. Peterson.  Performances begin Tuesday, October 2, 2018 for a limited engagement through Sunday afternoon, November 4, 2018 at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Opening Night is Thursday evening, October 11, 2018 at 6:45 p.m. 

Chicago Shakespeare Theater announces the cast for the North American premiere of Jessica Swale's exuberant new comedy Nell Gwynn, September 20-November 4, 2018. The music- and dance-filled play took London audiences by storm when it debuted at Shakespeare's Globe, followed by a celebrated run on the West End. Director of the original London production, Christopher Luscombe, helms the new Chicago Shakespeare production. Star of Broadway and the West End Scarlett Strallen appears as Nell; Chicago leading actor Timothy Edward Kane performs the role of King Charles II.

It's the day of the show, y'all: The Nashville premiere of Mart Crowley's The Boys in the Band is tonight - at The Barbershop Theatre, 4003 Indiana Avenue in The Nations - and six of the actors portraying Crowley's now-iconic characters took time from tech week to answer questions about their processes and to offer their reasons for why you should come see the show.

Theatre Bay Area, the third-largest regional theatre service organization in North America, announced the finalists for the 2018 TBA Awards. The fifth annual TBA Awards Celebration will be held on Monday, Nov. 5 at the Herbst Theatre (401 Van Ness Avenue, San Francisco). An American icon comes home.  During the early years of his career, American composer, conductor and arranger Henry Mancini and his family lived not far from where California State University, Northridge campus now stands.  On Saturday, October 13 at 8pm, Mancini's music comes home to Northridge as The Soraya presents Moon River and the Music of Henry Mancini.  Starring Monica Mancini with special guest three-time Tony nominated Joshua Henry, Moon River and the Music of Henry Mancini features Gregg Field as Music Director and Chris Walden conducting the New West Symphony.

Directed by Autumn Reeser ("The Arrangement," "Entourage," "The O.C."), City of Light was selected by Stephen Schwartz for the ASCAP Musical Theater Workshop, and was presented as part of the SheNYC Theater Festival. Set in Paris, City of Light is a modern, romantic musical comedy - with an unexpected twist -- that will make you want to book the next flight to France!

New York Theatre Festival will present the New York Premiere of Cathy Tempelsman's Run-On Sentence at Hudson Guild Theater

Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812 is inspired by a passage from Leon Tolstoy's masterpiece War and Peace. The musical was created by American composer Dave Malloy and became a big hit in his Broadway debut receiving 12 nominations at the 2017 Tony Awards. Directed by Ze Henrique de Paula and musical direction by Fernanda Maia the show takes place on 033 Rooftop  and features a conformation that promotes proximity and interaction between the audience, the cast and the orchestra. Bruna Guerin and Andre Frateschi are in the cast as Natasha and Pierre, while Gabriel Leone stands out in the role of the antagonist Anatole. 033 Rooftop offers an innovative culinary experience with Russian cuisine recipes.
