HORNIMAN'S CHOICE Begins This Month at Finborough Theatre

Commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, Horniman's Choice brings together four plays by the leading figures of the 'Manchester School' of playwrights - Harold Brighouse, Stanley Houghton and Allan Monkhouse, all originally championed by Annie Horniman, owner of Gaiety Theatre, Manchester, the first regional repertory theatre in Britain. Horniman's Choice runs at the Finborough Theatre, playing Sunday and Monday evenings and Tuesday matinees from Sunday, 27 September 2015 (Press Night: Monday, 28 September 2015 at 7.30pm).

Quintessence Theatre Group to Open 6th Season with ROMEO & JULIET and THE MANDRAKE

Quintessence Theatre Group launches its sixth season of progressive classic theatre with Shakespeare's romantic tragedy ROMEO AND JULIET presented in rotating repertory with Wallace Shawn's celebrated translation of Machiavelli's sex comedy THE MANDRAKE. A nine actor repertory ensemble comprised of Quintessence's best and director Alexander Burns will continue to establish Quintessence's brand of full throttle epic classic theatre for today. ROMEO AND JULIET will begin previews on Wednesday, September 30 at 7pm and open on Saturday, October 3 at 8pm.  THE MANDRAKE will begin previews on Wednesday, October 14 at 7pm and open on Saturday, October 17 at 8pm. George Wendt and Tim Kazurinsky to Star in FUNNYMAN Premiere at Northlight This Fall

Signal Ensemble Theatre to Stage U.S Premiere of Nicolas Billon's BUTCHER

Signal Ensemble Theatre presents the United States premiere of Butcher by Nicolas Billon and directed by Signal Ensemble Member Bries Vannon at Signal Ensemble Theatre, 1802 W. Berenice Ave., September 17 - October 24. Previews are Thursday, Sept.17 and Friday, Sept. 18 at 8 p.m. Opening/Press night is Saturday, Sept. 19 at 8 p.m.Regular performances are Thursday - Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Ticket prices are $23 for single tickets, $15 for industry/students/seniors/groups and $12 for previews. PONDLING Will US Premiere at 59E59 Theaters

59E59 Theaters will welcome Guna Nua Theatre Company (Dublin, Ireland) and Ramblinman with the US premiere of PONDLING, written and performed by Genevieve Hulme-Beaman and directed by Paul Meade. Part of Origin's 1st Irish Theatre Festival, PONDLING begins performances on Tuesday, September 8 for a limited engagement through Sunday, October 4.  Press opening is Sunday, September 13 at 7:30 PM.  The performance schedule is Tuesday - Thursday at 7:30 PM; Friday at 8:30 PM; Saturday at 2:30 PM & 8:30 PM; and Sunday at 3:30 PM & 7:30 PM. National Theatre Wales to Present WAR MUSIC

Renowned theatre-makers Mike Pearson and Mike Brookes, celebrated for their recent, large-scale interpretations of Aeschylus' The Persians and Shakespeare's and Brecht's Coriolan/us with National Theatre Wales, will bring their trademark vision to this multimedia staging of Christopher Logue's filmic poem War Music, derived from Homer's account of the last years of the Trojan War.

City College Center for the Arts (CCCA), NYC's newest center providing educational and artistic initiatives for students and the community, presents students of London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA) in Oliver Goldsmith's She Stoops to Conquer. Modernized from its premiere performance in 1773, CCCA, as part of its Arts Summer Theatre Program will present a cast of eight student actors for eight performances, July 23- August 1, 2015 at Aaron Davis Hall.

Producing Artistic Director Chuck Tobin today announced the July 1st opening of Jeffrey Hatcher's area premiere adaptation of Wait Until Dark, written by Frederick Knott at Saint Michael's Playhouse (tonight, July 1 - 11). Directed by Sarah Carleton the cast features Abby Lee as Susan, John D. Alexander as Roat, Christian Kohn as Mike, Bill Carmichael as Carlino, David Rossetti as Sam, and introducing Jillian Kenny as Gloria.
