The Center for Ballet and the Arts at New York University (CBA), the first international institute devoted to the creation and academic study of ballet, today announced the 27 artists and scholars who will serve as CBA Fellows in the 2018-19 academic year. The group - which represents The Center's largest and most far-reaching cohort yet - features distinguished individuals in a range of disciplines, including scholar Cecile Feza Bushidi, lighting designer Brandon Stirling Baker, choreographer Chase Brock, choreographer, filmmaker, and dancer Pontus Lidberg, and scholar Janice Ross, among others.

This summer, Aubade Publishing is scheduled to release three books: 'Sadie in Love' (ISBN: 978-0984549412), a novel by Rochelle Distelheim; 'Paricutin: The Miracle of Daniel Pulido' (ISBN: 978-0984549436), a novel by Jerome John Dobson; and 'The Annotated Murder of One' (ISBN: 978-0984549450), a collection of poems by Jared Pearce.

An unprecedented production of the Tony award-winning musical drama, PARADE, is set to open in Center City, Philadelphia this Spring.

The Cleveland Orchestra and Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music have announced a special residency partnership for the 2018-19 season and academic year. This collaborative residency will provide educational opportunities for Baldwin Wallace music and arts administration students led by Cleveland Orchestra musicians, conductors, and administrative staff.

The Houston Symphony and Houston Symphony League announced today the 10 semifinalists of the 43rd annual Houston Symphony Ima Hogg Competition, one of the few nationwide competitions open to all standard orchestral instruments and piano. The semifinalists will compete for the $25,000 Grace Woodson Memorial Award, which includes the opportunity to perform with the Houston Symphony.

Dance We Must: Treasures from Jacob's Pillow, 1906-1940 explores the contributions of Jacob's Pillow founder Ted Shawn and the iconic Ruth St. Denis to American modern dance. Gathering over 350 materials, including more than 30 costumes and accessories, over 200 photographs, five original antique costume trunks, and a dozen original artworks from both the Jacob's Pillow Archives and Williams College Special Collections, the exhibition contextualizes the pioneering work of Shawn and St. Denis within the scope of American art history through artifacts that have never been seen before. Dance We Must will be on view at Williams College Museum of Art (WCMA) from June 29 through November 11, 2018. The opening celebration will take place on July 2, featuring performances by Adam H. Weinert and Williams College Artist-in-Residence in Dance Erica Dankmeyer.

David Robertson will conduct the New York Philharmonic in Vaughan Williams's Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis and Saint-Saëns's Symphony No. 3, Organ, with Philharmonic organist Kent Tritle, at the 27th Annual Free Memorial Day Concert, Monday, May 28, 2018, at 8:00 p.m. at The Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the performance; ticket distribution will begin at 6:00 p.m. The audio of the performance will be broadcast onto the adjacent Pulpit Green, weather permitting. The program will be presented without intermission.

American Repertory Ballet returns to New York City on April 6 and 7 at 8 p.m. with "Generations: Influences from the Modern Age," a triple bill of critically acclaimed works by Jose Limon, Gerald Arpino and Artistic Director Douglas Martin, at The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College East, 68th Street between Park & Lexington Avenues.   

In honor of Women's History Month, American Repertory Ballet proudly performs Douglas Martin's 'Rite of Spring,' as part of its Generations: Influences from the Modern Age program being presented this spring at Two River Theater in Red Bank, NJ; The Kaye Playhouse at Hunter College in New York City; and McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton, N.J. 

This spring, American Repertory Ballet (ARB) will present Generations: Influences from theModern Age, a triple bill of critically acclaimed works by Jose Limon, Gerald Arpino and Artistic Director Douglas Martin, at three venues in New Jersey and New York City. The company, whose mission "is to bring the joy, beauty, artistry and discipline of classical and contemporary dance to New Jersey and nationwide audiences," launches its spring tour at Two River Theater in Red Bank, NJ, (21 Bridge Avenue), with two performances on Friday and Saturday, March 23 and 24.

The Tony Award-winning Broadway musical Million Dollar Quartet, inspired by the electrifying true story, rocks the Crest Theatre at Old School Square on March 17 & 18.

Alumnae Theatre Company's 30th annual New Ideas Festival, a three-week, juried celebration of original writing and works-in-progress, takes place from March 7 to 25 in Alumnae's Studio Theatre (70 Berkeley St at Adelaide).
