MusicWorks to to Welcome George Winston to Delray Beach Center for the Arts, 11/19

 MusicWorks today announced that it would present the first of four concerts featuring iconic folk musicians on November 19 at the Delray Beach Center for the Arts / Crest Theatre. where the concert promotion company staged successful shows last spring with Livingston Taylor and John Sebastian. The Crest Theatre is located at 51 North Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach (one block north of Atlantic Avenue).

Tchaikovsky's soulful Symphony No. 4 portrays his battle against fate, the cold-hearted power he believed ruled his life. Guest pianist Haochen Zhang, co-winner of the Gold Medal at the 2009 Van Cliburn Competition, will expertly undertake the consummate challenges of the Prokofiev piano concerto, and Maestro Milanov will bring to vivid life the heartless seducer of Strauss' tone poem Don Juan.

RI Philharmonic Orchestra to Kick Off Season with Lilya Zilberstein, 9/26

September 8. 2015 – East Providence, RI ? On Saturday, September 26, Music Director LARRY RACHLEFF and the Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra welcome LILYA ZILBERSTEIN to The VETS for a performance of Tchaikovsky's First Piano Concerto. The concert program also features Mussorgsky's Dawn on the Moskva River and Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring, which caused a riot at its 1913 Paris premiere. HORNIMAN'S CHOICE Begins This Month at Finborough Theatre

Commissioned by the Finborough Theatre, Horniman's Choice brings together four plays by the leading figures of the 'Manchester School' of playwrights - Harold Brighouse, Stanley Houghton and Allan Monkhouse, all originally championed by Annie Horniman, owner of Gaiety Theatre, Manchester, the first regional repertory theatre in Britain. Horniman's Choice runs at the Finborough Theatre, playing Sunday and Monday evenings and Tuesday matinees from Sunday, 27 September 2015 (Press Night: Monday, 28 September 2015 at 7.30pm).

Delray Beach Center for the Arts Appoints Rob Steele as New President, CEO

(Delray Beach, FL - August 27, 2015) Bill Branning, Chairman of the Board of the Delray Beach Center for the Arts, today announced the appointment of Rob Steele as President and Chief Executive Officer of the nonprofit visual and performing arts center that is the anchor of the city's dynamic cultural community. He succeeds longtime CEO Joe Gillie, whose last day is September 30.
