The Cleveland Orchestra and Music Director Franz Welser-Most have announced details of the Orchestra's 2017-18 calendar.  The season will be the ensemble's 100th year of concerts and marks the launch of its Second Century.  2017-18 is also the 16th year of the Orchestra's acclaimed partnership with Franz Welser-Most. 

Richard Move/MoveOpolis! opens New York Live Arts LIVE IDEAS 2017 festival with the world premiere of XXYY, a multilayered work conceived and directed by Move, with costumes by acclaimed theater artist Alba Clemente and an original score by Italian electronic music pioneer Martux_m.

Coming up next for Mint Theater Company will be the first ever New York revival of The Lucky One by A.A. Milne. Performances begin April 14th and continue through June 25th at the Beckett Theater at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street). Opening Night is set for May 18th.

Park Avenue Armory presents a bold staging of Eugene O'Neill's iconic American drama The Hairy Ape, directed by Oliver Award-winner Richard Jones and starring Tony nominee Bobby Cannavale.

With two visiting orchestras, classical landmarks by Haydn, Beethoven, and Schumann, high-status guest artists, two World Premieres, and the continuation of the films with live orchestra series, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) offers heart-warming music for the cold month of February. As part of the TSO's Canada Mosaic project, audiences will be treated on several occasions to new, brief orchestral works called Sesquies, to celebrate Canada's 150th anniversary.

Two-time Tony Award-winning Goodspeed Musicals has assembled six exciting teams - three led by prominent women directors - to helm the diverse productions planned this season: a tap-happy musical comedy, a beloved classic, a completely reinvented musical from some of the finest creative minds in musical theatre, two bold new musicals, and a holiday show for all ages.

Roque Santeiro, by Dias Gomes, premieres on January 27 at Teatro FAAP with musical direction by Zeca Baleiro and scenic direction by Debora Dubois. The play written in 1963 should have been staged in 1965, but was censored by the military government. In 1975, Dias Gomes (1922-1999) adapted the work for television and this version was also prohibited. Only ten years later, in 1985, with the country experiencing a process of democratization, the soap opera was finally broadcasted.

On November 12 at 3PM she will bring back her beloved one woman tribute Sophie Tucker In Person at the Ziegfeld Society at Lang Hall at Hunter College, 69th and Lexington. Tickets are $23 and available by visiting theziegfeldsociety.com. Ms. Allen will also return to the stage with her new show she recently debuted called, I'm A New Yorker written and directed by Ian Finkel. I'm A New Yorker will be performed at Don't Tell Mama's (343 West 46th Street) on Tuesday, November 29 and Wednesday, December 14 at 6:30pm. The Mozart@260 Festival -- curated by Quebec-based conductor Bernard Labadie -- includes the famous Symphony No. 40 as part of the popular What Makes It Great? series, a splendid program featuring the Jupiter Symphony and more, and a gripping semi-staged production of the Requiem. The TSO then presents Symphonie fantastique by Berlioz, and welcomes back Canadian soprano Barbara Hannigan for a second time this season.

Composer Paola Prestini, the Creative and Executive Director of National Sawdust (NS), today announced programming for the non-profit's inaugural fall season in its new home-a $16 million, 13,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art chamber hall in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The performance and recording venue, designed by Brooklyn-based architecture firm Bureau V in the shell of century-old former sawdust factory, will provide composers and musicians a setting in which they can flourish, and a place where they are given commissioning support, mentoring and other critical resources essential to create, and then share, their work. The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) announced its 2015-16 season, presented by Dawn and Jacques Lipson, this evening in grand style in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. The New York Philharmonic and Music Director Alan Gilbert announce the launch of Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic: 2013-14 Season - a series of 10 recordings of performances from the current season to be released for download and streaming from January 2014 to September 2014. The first two albums, now available, feature the U.S. Premiere of Mark-Anthony Turnage's Frieze; Beethoven's Symphony No. 9; R.
