Continuing its 21st anniversary year, Jermyn Street Theatre today announces an autumn season of American work.

Kicking off the Artistic Home's 14th season will be Lillian Hellman's 1941 New York Drama Critic's Circle award-winner Watch on the Rhine.

Following the Paris World Premiere season in 2013, and special performances celebrating Vivien Leigh's 100th anniversary, Donald Macdonald's new VIVIEN: Letter to Larry plays Jermyn Street Theatre's inaugural Matinee Seasons, in Autumn 2014, starring Susie Lindeman. The show runs 29 September - 5 November 2014 at Jermyn Street Theatre. Press performance October 1 2.30pm.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre, the critically-acclaimed and Drama Desk nominated Off-Broadway company 'dedicated to presenting neglected or rarely produced plays of literary merit,' presents the first New York revival in 30 years of The Killing of Sister George, the controversial 1964 play by Frank Marcus. The first production of the company's 22nd Season will be directed by TACT Company Member Drew Barr, who directed the company's Fall 2012 production of Brian Friel's Lovers. Performances begin at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) tonight, September 23, 2014. Opening night is set for Tuesday, October 7 at 7:30pm. Performances will continue through November 1, 2014.

This Autumn, Primavera, in association with Jermyn Street Theatre, stages the first ever revival of Terence Rattigan's debut work, First Episode.

Karen Carpenter, a producer, director and teacher, a theater-maker for more than 30 years, has been appointed the interim Artistic Director of the William Inge Center for the Arts and the 34th Annual William Inge Theatre Festival. The Inge Festival is the Official Theater Festival of the State of Kansas, hosted on the campus of Independence Community College, which houses the William Inge archives.

Following this Autumn's sell-out 1930s programme, Jermyn Street Theatre's Artistic Director Anthony Biggs announces a season of two premieres and a revival to kick off the theatre's twenty-first anniversary year. Comprising three plays and running from January to April, the line up is made up James Hogan's two works Ivy & Joan, The Last of The De Mullins by Edwardian playwright St John Hankin and The Heart of Things by the writer of the acclaimed The Art of Concealment, Giles Cole.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre will hold its Winter Benefit on Monday, December 1st at The Metropolitan Room (34 West 22nd Street). The festive evening entitled 'Catch A Rising Star' will be emceed by legendary Broadway song and dance man Lee Roy Reams and will feature musical performances by eight young up-and-coming Broadway talents. The evening will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by the show at 7:00 p.m.

ABUNDANCE, the 1990 play by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Beth Henley (Crimes of the Heart), is an epic tale of friendship set against the backdrop of the sweeping American West. Abundance is directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, who directed last season's production of William Inge's Natural Affection. Performances began at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) on February 17, and the production opened last weekend on March 1. Actor James Denton ('DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES') is in town to promote his new show 'GOOD WITCH' on the Hallmark Channel. The opening night is set for Thursday, February 27. The cast features Kathryn Erbe ('Law & Order: Criminal Intent'), Roxanna Hope (Frost/Nixon) and Arliss Howard (Moneyball, Natural Born Killers). Ode to Joy is scheduled to run through Sunday, March 30.

Having kicked off its 21st anniversary with an eclectic winter season, Jermyn Street Theatre today announces a season of new comedies that will carry it forward through the spring and into the summer.

Ralph Watson, Nick Waring and Patience Tomlinson lead the cast of the The Heart of Things by Giles Cole, which premieres at Jermyn Street Theatre this Spring. Giles is joined by director Knight Mantell, to reform the team that created the hugely acclaimed The Art of Concealment about the life of Terence Rattigan, which was staged at the same theatre in 2012. With impeccable timing, as the 2015 election campaign goes into overdrive and the political parties are once again at each other's throats, Close Quarter Productions presents this poignant and gripping family drama set against the background of the 2010 general election. The production runs from March 10 to April 4 as part of the theatre's twenty-first anniversary year.
