The cast of THE ADDAMS FAMILY is set to head into the studio on April 19th to record the show's previously announced cast recording produced by Decca Broadway. The cast recording is set to be released this June.

Plays & Players, Center City Philadelphia's longest continually operated theater will present Rogers and Hammerstein's classic musical 'Carousel' directed by Lance Moore May 29-June 12. Preview performances May 27 & 28 at 8pm. Show time is 8 PM with matinee performances at 3 PM on Sunday, May 30 and Sunday, June 6. Tickets are $25 in advance; $30 at the door for general admission. $15 Student rush tickets available 30 minutes before show. Preview performance tickets are $5 off. Appearing at this event will be book writers Rick Elice and Marshall Brickman, composer-lyricist Andrew Lippa and select cast members. Joining the creative team will be Sarah Henry. Henry is the curator of the Charles Addams Exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York.

Decca Broadway has announced the official release of the forthcoming Original Cast Recording from The Addams Family. The new musical is based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, and will open Thursday, April 8, 2010 at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, with previews underway now. The disc will be available everywhere in June 2010.
