The New Group has pushed back the first preview of the U.S. premiere of Kevin Elyot's Mouth to Mouth directed by Mark Brokaw, to October 22nd for technical reasons. Mouth to Mouth will open the New Group's season and run through December 27

Intiman Theatre announces the addition of Shakespeare's Othello, directed by Artistic Director Bartlett Sher, to its 2009 schedule. This will be Sher's first production of Shakespeare's tragedy and his fourth production of a Shakespeare play at Intiman, where he has been Artistic Director since 2000.

Slated for a limited Off-Broadway engagement from October 21 - December 27, this production features New Group artist David Cale, Lisa Emery and Elizabeth Jasicki. PRAYER FOR MY ENEMY is the first of two plays by Mr. Lucas that will receive their New York premiere this season.

Bartlett Sher, who has received great acclaim as well as a Tony nomination and Drama Desk Award as Best Director of A Musical for the current Lincoln Center Theater production of South Pacific, will direct the new musical BRUCE LEE: JOURNEY TO THE WEST, to be produced on Broadway by Elephant Eye Theatrical. Joining Sher are Tony nominees David Yazbek (The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) composing the music and writing the lyrics and David Henry Hwang (M Butterfly, Yellow Face) penning the book.
