Vikings, History's flagship scripted series, will finish its run after its six season, according to Deadline.

The Drama League (Executive Artistic Director Gabriel Stelian-Shanks) has announced casting for DirectorFest 2019: The 35th Annual Directors Festival, the only festival in the United States exploring the art of contemporary stage directing. DirectorFest takes place at various locations around NYC: New Ohio Theatre (154 Christopher Street), The Drama League Theater Center (32 Avenue of the Americas), LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (31-10 Thompson Avenue, Long Island City), and Joe's Pub (425 Lafayette Street). CBS today announced the 21 performers participating in the 2019 CBS DIVERSITY SKETCH COMEDY SHOWCASE which will begin its run of six shows on Jan. 15 at the El Portal Theatre in Los Angeles.

Following six rewarding and successful annual events from 2012 to 2017, Luminate's nationwide festival is now biennial, and plans are now underway for the festival's return in May 2019. The programme will take place across the length and breadth of Scotland from Wednesday 1 to Friday 31 May.

The Wizard of Oz: A Jazz Musical for All Ages, presented by Harlem Repertory Theater (HRT) and the Yip Harburg Foundation, has been extended through June 8, 2019 due to continuing and steady audience interest. The production has played since October 8, 2016 at Tato Laviera Theatre, 240 East 123rd Street (near 2nd Ave.), Manhattan, and has previously been extended six times.Upcoming performances are Saturdays at 3:00 PM: December 15, 2018; January 26, February 9 & 23, March 9 & 23 and June 8, 2019.

Jacob's Pillow announces the full season lineup of Festival 2019 including world premieres, new commissions, international artists, anniversary celebrations, Pillow-exclusive engagements, and work developed at the Pillow Lab. GODSMACK will return to the road in 2019--first with 20 shows in Europe to be followed by a North American headlining tour with Volbeat. GODSMACK will kick it off February 27in London with Like A Storm confirmed as direct support for the six-week European trek. Next, GODSMACK will return to the U.S. where they'll headline a U.S. run of shows with special guests VOLBEAT, along with some co-headlining shows with them in Canada. Tickets are on sale now for the European dates, with onsales set for mid-December for the North American gigs.

The collaborative, cross-cast company is announced for the Royal Shakespeare Company's (RSC) productions of As You Like It, The Taming of the Shrew and Measure for Measure, playing in a newly reconfigured Royal Shakespeare Theatre next summer. All three productions will then tour in repertoire for the first time to six regional theatres in 2019 and 2020. The actors will each appear in two of the three plays performed as part of the Summer 2019 repertoire. Design for all three productions is by Stephen Brimson Lewis, Director of Design for the Royal Shakespeare Company.

Chicago Dancemakers Forum announces $110,000 in grant support to Chicago's choreographers in 2019. Up to ten Chicago-based dancemakers will be selected to receive cash grants combined with mentorship as they research and develop new work.
