National Theatre (Lyttelton)
(Waterloo) South Bank London

Wig Out! tells of the fiercest battle in New York as the House Of Light compete with the House Of Diabolique for drag family supremacy at the Cinderella Ball. When Eric meets Wilson, it's a good old-fashioned boy meets boy fairy tale. However, when Wilson reveals his drag alter-ego Nina, questions of masculinity and gender come to the fore. In the tradition of Paris Is Burning, this big, bold and riotous play looks at gender, drag and fabulousness.

BWW Reviews: Debuts by Evelyn Sullivan, Erin McCracken; Comebacks by Eve Eaton, Rob Sutton Are Standouts at Don't Tell Mama
by Robert Diamond - May 6, 2015

Four recent shows at Don't Tell Mama featured performers either making their debuts on the New York cabaret scene (Evelyn Sullivan and Erin McCracken) or who returned this spring in hopeful anticipation of sharing their artistic vision with audiences (Rob Sutton and Eve Eaton). They no doubt experienced the usual anxiety, trials and tribulations before ultimately taking the stage. And they've come out on the other side relatively unscathed.

BWW Reviews: It's the Story Between the Hits that Makes JERSEY BOYS a Continued Success
by Jill Schafer - Apr 30, 2015

The jukebox musical JERSEY BOYS is a crowd-pleaser. The story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons will celebrate 10 years on Broadway this fall and the tour is making its third stop in Minneapolis this week. At times during last night's opening night, the crowd reacted like this was a Four Seasons tribute concert. But it's so much more than that. This jukebox musical is not just hit after hit strung together with some loose threads we're supposed to accept as a plot. Rather this beloved and familiar music is woven into the true life story of the rise and fall of these Hall of Fame rock-and-rollers. It's like an episode of VH1's Behind the Music, revealing that all was not rosy behind those crisp harmonies and sharp dance moves. Fame and celebrity at a young age rarely lead to a smooth road in life. Any show that featured a string of hits from the '60s would be sure to sell out to a population dominated by baby boomers, but it's the clever book that weaves the hits together and tells a story worth hearing that is responsible for JERSEY BOYS' critical success and staying power.

BWW Recap: Who Killed Sam on HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER
by Scott Fullerton - Nov 21, 2014

The winter finale of HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER finally answered the question to the flashbacks we have been watching all season, who killed Sam Keating. The entire season has been teasing as to who actually murdered him. We knew that almost all of Annalise's student interns, (I call them the Scooby gang), are involved in the cover-up from all of the flashbacks of them trying to remove the body and destroy any evidence. We also knew that Rebecca was involved in it, as well as having Sam's blood all over her, and that Asher was the only intern not involved, because he was out looking for the trophy that Michaela stole from him. Just because we saw who was covering the murder up, there was never any clear evidence as to who actually killed Sam. Until now.
