Tennessee Shakespeare Company, the Mid-South's professional, classical theatre, will perform William Shakespeare's elegant romantic comedy Much Ado About Nothing from December 8-18, directed by founder and Producing Artistic Director Dan McCleary.

Artistic Director of the Gate Theatre, Christopher Haydon, today announces the cast for the UK premiere of Danai Gurira's The Convert. Following the success of her critically acclaimed Eclipsed, which ran at the Gate in 2015, Gurira's The Convert will open the Gate's Resist! season, a series of plays about rebellion and revolution.

Following their one-off theatrical re-staging of Ken Loach's seminal work Cathy Come Home at the Barbican in July of this year, the award-winning theatre company Cardboard Citizens has announced a brand new touring production for October, Cathy, based around similar themes. This year marks the marks the both 50th anniversary of Loach's film and the 25th anniversary of the theatre company who work making theatre with and for homeless people.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey (STNJ) is proud to present the New Jersey premiere of British playwright Lolita Chakrabarti's multi-award-winning play, Red Velvet. Artistic Director of The Print Room at the Coronet Anda Winters today announces the full cast for Tennessee Williams' rarely performed A LOVELY SUNDAY IN CREVE COEUR, which opens the theatre's new Autumn season. Michael Oakley directs Debbie Chazen as Bodey, Hermione Gulliford as Helena, Laura Rogers as Dorothea and Julia Watson as Miss Gluck. The production opens in the main theatre space on 15 September, with previews from 12 September and runs until 7 October.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team of the West Coast premiere of OCTOBER SKY, which will blast off the Globe's 2016-2017 Season with a tale of boys, rockets, and big dreams.

The Old Vic is pleased to present the world premiere of No's Knife. Conceived and performed by Lisa Dwan and co-directed with The Old Vic's Season 2 Baylis Director Joe Murphy, No's Knife opens on 3 October with previews from 29 September 2016.

Today, 14 June 2016, Christopher Haydon announced he will step down as Artistic Director of the Gate Theatre, leaving in January 2017 after five years of leading the company. His recently announced new season - Too Close To Home, will be his penultimate season at the Gate Theatre. Haydon will continue programming the Gate up until May 2017, with his last season being announced in late 2016. The post of Artistic Director at the Gate Theatre will be advertised shortly.
