Director Stan Zimmerman has found his quartet of actors for the first major revival of Justin Tanner's acclaimed comedy play, Heartbreak Help.

Letters from Young Gay Men is a project that was inspired by Rilke's Letters to a young poet. A show that brings a unique intimacy between the gay youth and elders of the community. These are very special letters performed by an amazing cast - these words crack the heart and forge the soul.

'Out of Sterno' begins with meeting Dotty (Nora Thomas), the 23 year old heroine of the play. She is peppy and funny, and expresses her positive slant on everything in her very small world. She also lets us know that her husband, Hamel (Rafael Medina) won't let her leave their apartment, but that she is fine with that. She spends her days working on art projects and watching video recordings of the day she met her husband, 7 years earlier.

 Last season's critically acclaimed, World Premiere hit CHARLES DICKENS' A CHRISTMAS CAROL returns to Rubicon Theatre Company this holiday season with Broadway, TV and film veterans Peter Van Norden (RTC's Copenhagen) and Joe Spano ("NCIS," RTC's Bucky) reprising their roles in this innovative retelling of the classic. Adapted by Producing Artistic Director Karyl Lynn Burns and directed byBrian McDonald, the 25-member cast features many of the same actors from the original production that earned a "Critic's Choice" in the Los Angeles Times and rave reviews from Ventura County Star, CASA Magazine, VIDA Magazine and the Ventura Breeze. Presented as a play with music, this dynamic and compelling stage version is highly theatrical. Actors narrate at various times, play multiple characters, sing and contribute to the soundscape for the production in the style of the Royal Shakespeare Company's landmark production of The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby. CHARLES DICKENS' A CHRISTMAS CAROL opens in Ventura on Today, December 10 at 7:00 p.m. followed by an after-party at Rhumb Line Restaurant. Low-priced previews are December 7-9. The show runs Wednesdays through Sundays through December 24.

The world's crankiest elf is coming back to The Circuit Playhouse! Crumpet, Macy's grumpiest Christmas elf, and his fellow elves will once again be taking residence in the Memphian Room this holiday season. Share drinks with friends as Crumpet recounts his training and his hilarious encounters with surly parents and their greedy children! With a healthy dose of sarcasm and snark, Crumpet manages to reveal the shortcomings of the hustle and bustle surrounding the holidays while gently reminding us of the true meaning of the season. This intimate cabaret-style performance is a night at the theatre like no other. 

Studio C Artists announces a limited run of HOMELESS FOR THE HOLIDAYS, featuring short plays, written by Craig A. Bealer, Dean Donofrio, and Pippa Hinchley, directed by John Coppola and Dean Donofrio; produced by Studio C and Theater Asylum/Combined Artform.  The show opens Friday, DECEMBER 2, 2016, continuing on consecutive Fridays and Saturdays through DECEMBER 16th. The new Stan Zimmerman & Christian McLaughlin play, Knife to the Heart, a comedy about circumcision, will hold a private reading on October 16, 2016, at Los Angeles's Lex Theatre. The cast for the reading will include Wendie Malick (Hot in Cleveland), Todd Sherry (Parks & Recreation), Katie Walder (How I Met Your Mother), and Josh Zuckerman (Desperate Housewives). Jan Le Pouvoir received a nomination for best supporting actress in her role as the uptight Miss Skillon in the British farce, See How They Run.  Two nominations were received for the comedy, Lend Me a Tenor.  Otto Coelho received a nomination for best supporting actor for his role as the opera star, Tito Merelli and Becky Jo Adams for Costume Design.
