A friendly reminder! KareHouse, a new musical written by Michael Kimmel (Songbird, The Last Goodbye) with music and lyrics by Libby Winters (American Idiot), directed by Jenny Koons (Burn All Night), and produced by John Gallagher Jr., Allison Bressi, and Lianne Kennedy, will be presented in a New York Premiere at Joe's Pub, for two performances only, running tonight (Sept 25 at 7pm) and tomorrow (Sept 26 at 9.30pm).

Miami New Drama (MiND) at Colony Theatre opens the season with a ground-breaking production of the classic drama, Our Town. MiND's Artistic Director, Michel Hausmann, has re-envisioned Thornton Wilder's iconic tale of life, love and death in small town America for 21st century Miami, incorporating translations in Spanish by Pulitzer Prize-winner, Nilo Cruz, and in Creole by renowned playwright, Jeff Augustin. This production marks the first time that the Thornton Wilder Estate has allowed the text of this Pulitzer Prize winning drama to be altered. Our Town premieres Thursday, October 26, and runs through Sunday, November 19, at the Colony Theatre (1040 Lincoln Road, Miami Beach).

 To ring in the New Year, on January 1 National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) will present 'Light Up The Night,' a concert of rediscovered and restored pre- and post-WWII music from the theatrical works of the great composers of the Golden Age of Yiddish Theater.  These include Ellstein, Goldfaden, Olshanetsky, Rumshinsky and Secunda.  All are leading songwriters from the era of 'The Golden Bride,' which was presented by Folksbiene Theatre in 2015 and 2016.  The cast will feature performers who were acclaimed in that production, backed by a 16-piece orchestra.  The production is in Yiddish with projected supertitles.  The full concert will be offered twice, at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM, in Edmond J. Safra Hall at Museum of Jewish Heritage, 36 Battery Place.

The production will play a strictly limited engagement of 14 performances, beginning Thursday, September 14 at TADA! Theater (located at 15 W. 28th Street, 3rd Floor), with opening night scheduled for Saturday, September 16, 2017. Performances will take place according to the following schedule: Thursdays & Friday at 8:00pm; Saturdays at 2pm & 8pm; and Sundays at 3pm.

The Hangar Theatre's free late-night series, The Wedge, will return to Ithaca this summer under the direction of 2016 Drama League Directing Fellows Chloe Treat, Drew Feldman, Yavor Kostov, and Katie Lupica. The Fellows will be staging productions of H. Leivick's The Golem, the world premiere of Oh Oh You Will Be Sorry! by Claire Kiechel, James Joyce's The Dead, and Salome by Oscar Wilde. As part of its new permanent residency and management role at Colony Theatre on Lincoln Road in Miami Beach, Miami New Drama officially begins its 2017 season with the American premiere of Terror. The play will be directed by two-time Tony Award-winning Director Gregory Mosher, who is also the former Artistic Director of Lincoln Center in New York City. Under the Artistic Direction of Co-Founder Michel Hausmann, Miami New Drama brings the American adaptation and translation of this German play stateside. The original German version has been translated not only in script, but also to be consistent with American law. Previews for the American premiere of Terror begin January 26, 2017 and the show runs January 28 through February 19, 2017.

Directed by Artistic Director Lane Savadove, EgoPo Classic Theater continues their season of influential female playwrights with Luce, a woman who led an extraordinary life as a Broadway playwright, war journalist, congresswoman, ambassador, and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient. The Women previews March 3 and opens Friday, March 4. The show runs three weeks, closing on Sunday March 20. Tickets start at $25. The performance schedule has been changed for 'Light Up The Night,' a theatrical concert of rediscovered and restored Yiddish theater songs by Ellstein, Goldfaden, Olshanetsky, Rumshinsky, and Secunda, to be presented by National Yiddish Theatre Folksbiene (NYTF) January 1 in Edmond J. Safra Hall at Museum of Jewish Heritage, 36 Battery Place, Manhattan.  Originally two shows were planned, at 2:00 PM and 6:00 PM.  The 2:00 PM performance continues as scheduled but the 6:00 PM performance has been canceled.
