Tony® Award-winner Liev Schreiber and Golden Globe nominee Scarlett Johansson, in her Broadway debut, will star in Arthur Miller’s A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE directed by Gregory Mosher on Broadway at the Cort Theatre. This limited engagement will run for 14 weeks only.



In A View from the Bridge, Arthur Miller's most passionate drama, Liev Schreiber plays Eddie Carbone, a Brooklyn longshoreman obsessed with his 17-year-old niece Catherine, played by Scarlett Johansson. When Catherine falls in love with a newly arrived immigrant, Eddie's jealousy erupts in a rage that consumes him, his family, and his world.

RIALTO CHATTER: A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE in Extension Talks?

According to a report from the New York Times, the Broadway revival of A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE may extend past it's closing date of April 4. A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE is housed at the Cort theater, which is scheduled to house the revival of August Wilson's FENCES starting April 14, which would mean BRIDGE would most likely have to transfer theatres to stay open. Executives involved in BRIDGE said moving would be costly, as would trying to arrange for FENCES to move, as most Broadway houses are booked for the spring as of now.

The winning bid will receive four tickets to the play on January 24 as well as the opportunity to join the cast at their after party. All proceeds from the bid will go to help earthquake survivors in Haiti.

Just in is word that A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE's Santino Fontana (pictured), who suffered a minor concussion during a performance this past weekend has been temporarily replaced in the show by his understudy Morgan Spector. Fontana is out of the show on doctor's orders and is expected back as soon as possible. Spector, a graduate of Reed College and the American Conservatory Theatre MFA program is making his Broadway debut in the show. His previous theatre credits include Enemies: A Love Story at the Wilma Theater, Disney's The Lion King (national tour) and A Christmas Carol at ACT. His film and television credits include The Last Airbender, 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent' and HBO's 'How to Make It in America.'
