Theatre Royal Bath Productions today announces full casting for In Praise of Love at the Ustinov Studio with Christopher Bonwell and Julian Wadham joining the previously announced Robert Lindsay and Tara Fitzgerald. Jonathan Church will direct Terence Rattigan's powerful drama at the Ustinov Studio marking his first production at the venue as well as the closing play in his second year as Artistic Director of Theatre Royal Bath's Summer Season. In Praise of Love will run from Wednesday 3 October to Saturday 3 November with opening night for press on Monday 15 October.

Goodman Theatre adds to its 2018/2019 Season a limited engagement of St. Nicholas-an internationally-acclaimed major revival by London's Donmar Warehouse of Conor McPherson's 1997 intimate thriller, directed by Simon Evans. The monologue play stars Olivier Award-winning actor Brendan Coyle ("Mr. Bates" of the smash sensation Downton Abbey, for which he earned an Emmy Award nomination) in "a superlative, mesmerizing performance that's simply not to be missed" (The Arts Review). The U.S. premiere, which appears in the Goodman's 350-seat flexible Owen Theatre, follows two acclaimed recent appearances at the Donmar Warehouse and the Dublin Theatre Festival. The creative team includes Peter McKintosh (Set), Matt Daw (Lighting) and Christopher Shutt (Sound). Goodman Theatre's limited engagement of St. Nicholas appears January 9 - 27, 2019 in the Owen Theatre (170 N. Dearborn). Lantern Theater Company continues its 25th anniversary season with the Philadelphia premiere of The Heir Apparent by David Ives, adapted from Jean-Francois Regnard's 1708 comedy Le Legataire universel. Lantern resident director M. Craig Getting will direct a cast that includes Lantern veterans Chris Anthony, Leonard C. Haas, Adam Hammet, Dave Johnson, Mary Martello, Lee Minora, and Ruby Wolf. Theater critics and members of the press are invited to request tickets for opening night on Wednesday, November 14 at 7 p.m. by contacting Anne Shuff at ashuff@lanterntheater.org. The producers of the bold new stage production of AMERICAN PSYCHO - THE MUSICAL have announced that the iconic role of Patrick Bateman will be played by stage and screen star Ben Gerrard. Citadel Theatre will continue its practice of producing classic theatre in bucolic Lake County outdoor settings with this summer's production of SCAPIN, the 17th Century farce by Moliere. SCAPIN will be directed by Frank Farrell, who helmed the company's previous summer productions of Shakespeare's ROMEO AND JULIET, AS YOU LIKE IT, and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM; and SPOON RIVER ANTHOLOGY, Farrell's musical dramatic adaptation of Edgar Lee Masters' poetry. Farrell, well-known to Citadel audiences for his portrayals of Dickens' Scrooge in both 2011 and in 2017, has written a new adaptation of the comedy for this production.

The Donmar Warehouse presents St Nicholas, a chilling one-man play by Conor McPherson, directed by Simon Evans and starring Brendan Coyle. This is the first time McPherson and Coyle have collaborated since The Weir, for which both received Olivier Awards. The performances will take place at the Donmar's intimate studio space at 3 Dryden Street from Monday 10 September - Friday 5 October 2018, and from Tuesday 9 October - Sunday 14 October 2018 at the Smock Alley Theatre, as part of Dublin Theatre Festival, which will be the play's Irish premiere. Tickets for London performances will be allocated via a ballot, which is open for entries by signing up to the Donmar's Newsletter or KLAXON email lists at donmarwarehouse.com.
