Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, recognized by U.S. Congress as a vital American 'Cultural Ambassador to the World,' will inspire, enlighten and entertain from February through May in 24 North American cities, continuing the celebration of the 50 years of Alvin Ailey's Revelations. The tour will kick off on February 1st at Washington, D.C.'s Kennedy Center, and will continue through May 22nd with visits to Atlanta, GA; Miami, FL; Berkeley, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Philadelphia, PA; Chicago, IL; St. Louis, MO; Newark, NJ; Vancouver & Victoria, Canada and other cities.

Featuring recent and new work by Alberto Aguilar (Chicago), Peter Fagundo (Chicago), James Woodfill (Kansas City), and Warren Rosser (Kansas City), the exhibition will run September 4- October 15, 2010 in Kansas City at CSF's la Esquina (an Urban Culture Project venue), and at threewalls in Chicago, November 5-December 11, 2010.

Actors' Equity Association announced today that Charles Randolph-Wright is the recipient of the 2010 Paul Robeson Award. Created in 1974, the Award recognizes a person who best exemplifies the principles by which Mr. Robeson lived. The award will be presented to Mr. Randolph-Wright at the October 8, 2010 General Membership meeting at the Union's headquarters in New York City.
