The New York Philharmonic will return to Bravo! Vail in Colorado for the Orchestra's 12th- annual summer residency there, performing six concerts July 18-25, 2014. Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct three programs, July 18-20, featuring works by composers for whom he has advocated during his tenure, ranging from Nielsen to The Marie-Jose?e Kravis Composer-in- Residence Christopher Rouse. About The Author
FA (Freddie) Shepherd is a retired research chemist, retiring from Tennessee Eastman's Research Laboratories in 1992. He is an army veteran with service in Germany in 1958, and was in the Tennessee National Guard for more than 10 years. He is a Christian and has been a member of Colonial Heights Christian Church for more than 45 years. He now lives in Gray, Tennessee and enjoys playing golf and writing. Freddie has a way of seamlessly blending history with fiction and some of his own experiences to weave a variety of partly truth and partly fiction stories and tales.

New York City Center is celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Fall for Dance Festival with a very special season, beginning with two free evenings of dance at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park, hosted by The Public Theater, on September 16 and 17 (rain date, September 18).
