RLJ Lodging Trust (the "Company") (NYSE: RLJ) today announced that it acquired the long-term leasehold interest in the 399-room Courtyard by Marriott Waikiki Beach (the "Hotel") for a purchase price of $75.3 million, or approximately $189,000 per key. The purchase price represents a forward capitalization rate of approximately 7.8% based on the Hotel's projected 2014 net operating income. The Company purchased this asset with cash available on its balance sheet.

When Dana Lorge's run as a Variety Show hosted ended at the Iguana Restaurant last July-and after winning two 2012 MAC Awards for 'Best Variety Show' and 'Best Variety Show Host'-who knew she'd be reduced to being a cabaret audience member searching for a new showcase? But a Metropolitan Room Mentch has come to the rescue in the form of Bernie Furshpan (the Met Room's General Partner and Manager), who has provided Dana with a monthly forum for her unique brand of cabaret shtick beginning Friday, April 5 at 7-8:15 pm. While the new show won't be the two-hour plus extravaganza of yore featuring more than a dozen performers, Dana's new 'Variety Show' promises to feature a solid group of experienced and well-known cabaret and musical theater pros. For the April 5 opener, the Lorge Lineup features Richard Skipper, her former Award-winning Co-host from the Iguana days; film and stage actor Jim Brochu (of Zero Mostel One-Man Show fame), singers LaTanya Hall (from the CBS show 'Blue Bloods) and Peggy Herman Klat, Rick Crom (Creator of Newsical the Musical), and Mr. Furshpan, who will show off his stand-up comedy chops. Wolf Trap Announces New Regional Program in Southwest and Metro Detroit as Part of the Organization's Institute for Early Learning Through the Arts

Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, a national leader in the performing arts and arts education, is partnering with Detroit non-profit Living Arts to bring its specialized early childhood arts integration model to pre-K classrooms in Southwest and Metro Detroit. As part of this newly installed Wolf Trap Regional Program, the Wolf Trap Institute will train Living Arts' Early Learning teaching artists in Wolf Trap methodologies of infusing the performing arts into pre-K curriculum to support young children's social, emotional, physical, language and cognitive development. This training will enhance Living Arts' El Arte Early Learning program, which has provided arts-infused residencies at Matrix Vistas Nuevas Head Start Centers in Detroit since 1996. Classroom teachers and children will be engaged in drama, music, and movement experiences during eight-week residencies scheduled to begin in 30 classrooms in mid-March.

Audee Estey, a native of Winnipeg, Canada, began teaching in the Princeton area after marrying L. Wendell "Bud"Estey, a teacher at the Lawrenceville School, in 1933. Among her hundreds of students were Meredith Monk, Douglas Dunn, Bebe Neuwirth, Diane Partington, and Jennifer Dunning. She founded Princeton Ballet Society in 1954 (now Princeton Ballet School) and the Princeton Regional Ballet Company in 1963.

Today in 1980, 42nd Street opened at the Wintergarden Theatre, where it ran for 3486 performances. 42nd Street is a musical with a book by Michael Stewart and Mark Bramble, lyrics by Al Dubin, and music by Harry Warren. The 1980 Broadway production, directed by an ailing Gower Champion and orchestrated by Philip J. Lang, won the Tony Award for Best Musical and became a long-running hit. Based on the novel by Bradford Ropes and the subsequent 1933 film adaptation, it focuses on the efforts of famed dictatorial Great White Way director Julian Marsh to mount a successful stage production of a musical extravaganza at the height of the Great Depression.
