Moonlight Stage Productions' 33rd summer season continues with the Broadway hit YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, presented professionally for the first time in Southern California, with performances from August 21 to September 7. YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN, based on the hilarious 1974 film by Mel Brooks and Gene Wilder that spoofed the horror film genre, opened on Broadway in 2007 and toured the U.S. in 2009. Single tickets are priced $15 to $50 and include price levels for student rush, military, senior, and family discounts. New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola has announced that Fetch Clay, Make Man, written by Will Power and directed by Des McAnuff, will begin performances Friday, August 23 at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Opening night is set for Thursday, September 12 at 7pm. Fetch Clay, Make Man is scheduled to run through Sunday, October 13; tickets are on sale now.

Directed by Playhouse Artistic Director Christopher Ashley (Glengarry Glen Ross, Memphis), the production will kick off the 2013/2014 season, running May 28 - June 30 in the Playhouse's Mandell Weiss Theatre.

According to the Star, a high school in Utah has cancelled a student production of All Shook Up because of a 'sexually suggestive song.' Rehearsals for the production had already begun but the Herriman High School announced that a different show would be selected due to offensive content.

Not only are the arrangements stripped down-cello, ukulele, glockenspiel, melodica-but the Skivvies and their special guests 'from Broadway and beyond' literally strip down to their underwear to perform. 3-D Theatricals' final show of the 2012 season is the Tony Award-winning musical HAIRSPRAY, featuring choreography by Dana Solimando, musical direction by Allen Everman, and directed by 3-D Theatricals Executive Producer and Artistic Director T.J. Dawson. HAIRSPRAY opened on Saturday, October 13 and performed through Sunday, October 28 at the historic Plummer Auditorium, 201 E. Chapman Ave. in Fullerton. HAIRSPRAY then traveled across town to perform at the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center, 1935 Manhattan Beach Blvd., for three performances only, ending today, November 4.
