The CAPA Summer Movie Series, the longest-running classic film series in America, celebrates its 45th anniversary in 2015 with an impressive assembly of classics, cult favorites, and beloved films. “Deion's Family Playbook” follows celebrated sports legend Deion Sanders as he raises his own five kids and five others with the help of his devoted mom, Connie, and longtime girlfriend, Hollywood producer and TV host, Tracey Edmonds.
Filled with relatable humor, wit, and plenty of fiercely sarcastic dialogue and gasp-lite melodrama, OF GOOD STOCK explores the layered, often contentious relationship between a trio of sisters who have decided to gather together at their family's gorgeous ocean-side summer home for a little weekend reunion, with their respective beaus in tow. Written by playwright Melissa Ross, this world premiere production is currently on stage at Costa Mesa's Tony Award-winning South Coast Repertory through April 26, under the direction of Gaye Taylor Upchurch.

Jayne Mansfield was a legend just like Marilyn Monroe. They were both bleached blonds with hourglass figures, were married three times and had numerous lovers, and each appeared in 29 films.
Lynne Griffin is what director David Ellenstein describes as 'a heavy-weight' in the industry. Her credits span more than 5 decades and include print, film, television and theatre. She was a child model and actor, appearing in multitudes of commercials and even hosting a children's television show in Toronto.
The Scottish actress, well-known on stage and screen in the U.K., is making her U.S. debut in the fact-based off-Broadway drama.

The hottest ticket in West Michigan right now is indisputably Mary Poppins. Selling out even their final dress rehearsal, Grand Rapids Civic Theatre has brought together a technical powerhouse that will thrill the most seasoned audiences.
When I was a child, I loved drawing pictures; despite the fact that it was very clear that I had little to no artistic ability in this arena, I continued to draw anyway. Whether it was a sunrise over a mountain with little “V” shaped birds flying towards the horizon, or a sunset over a beach with little “V” shaped birds flying towards the horizon, I kept drawing. However, every time I would get to the point when the picture had just enough detail, I would think of something else that it must have before it could be considered complete. So, I would add more pine trees on the mountains, or umbrellas on the beach, until my canvas piece of paper was so overcrowded with stuff, that it was hard to see the forest through the trees, often literally. This has been my major complaint about the genre-defining (and defying) anthology series AMERICAN HORROR STORY from the beginning.
Americans are particularly spoiled when it comes to what we expect from films, television, and theater. We have to have a presentation that follows a very predicable format, including a likeable hero or heroine, antagonist, life conflict that mirrors our own, and a climax in which good wins over evil. We want to leave these experiences feeling completely uplifted and good about ourselves. What is perceived as negative isn't even part of our collective consciousness.
The Mousetrap is famous around the world as being the longest running show of any kind in the history of theatre and now it's back by popular demand following a record breaking sell out week in 2012.

The version of RUMPELSTILTSKIN currently being presented at Imagination Stage, in Bethesda, Maryland, is a grim Grimm fairy tale. The production is brilliantly executed, but the script is so dark that it may not be appropriate for younger children.
