Twelfth Night takes place on the mythical, magical island of Illyria, where almost anything can happen in Director Jennifer LeBlanc's fresh and comedic version of this classic. A shipwreck has stranded two survivors here, Sebastian and Viola, brother and sister, although each is unaware of the survival of the other. The sister, Viola, dresses as a man to protect herself in this strange environment, frustrating Duke Orsino who finds himself falling in love. Great comic confusion ensues involving some of Shakespeare's greatest comic characters, including Sir Andrew Aguecheek, Sir Toby Belch, jester-like Feste and the imposing Malvolio. Will true love win out? Will siblings be reunited? Not easily. And therein lies our tale.

Connecticut Repertory Theatre (CRT) opens its 2018-19 season with Frank Galati's award-winning adaptation of John Steinbeck's, "The Grapes of Wrath." Gary English will direct. From October 6 to 27 at the Upper East Side's Bohemian National Hall and Jan Hus Church, GOH Productions will present a Centennial Heritage Festival, featuring mainstage marionette theater productions for adults and kids and musical concerts for audiences of all ages. The festival celebrates two auspicious anniversaries: the Centennial Anniversary of the founding of Czechoslovakia (1918) and the Millennial Anniversary of the unification of the Lands of the Czech Crown, under Duke Oldrich (1018).

Encores! Artistic Director Jack Viertel today announced casting for the Encores! production of The New Yorkers, Cole Porter's 1930 Prohibition lark. The New Yorkers will star Cyrille Aimee, Clyde Alves, Todd Buonopane, Arnie Burton, Kevin Chamberlin, Mylinda Hull, Robyn Hurder, Byron Jennings, Eddie Korbich, Tam Mutu, Jeffrey Schecter, Scarlett Strallen, Tyler Lansing Weaks and Ruth Williamson.

Sheffield Theatres and English Touring Theatre today announce full casting for Phillip Breen's adaptation of D.H. Lawrence's classic novel LADY CHATTERLEY'S LOVER, which opens at the Crucible on 26 September before a UK tour to Oxford, York, Malvern, Salisbury, Brighton and Cambridge. Breen directs a cast including Hedydd Dylan as Lady Chatterley and Jonah Russellas Mellors. The company is completed by Aretha Ayeh, Will Irvine, Ciaran McIntyre, Eugene O'Hare, David Osmond, Rachel Sanders and Alice Selwyn.
