Nearly a hundred years after Aline Barnsdall first envisioned an artist colony on Olive Hill in the middle of Hollywood, the public will have a rare opportunity to experience her dream come to life. Beginning May 6th, Hollyhock House, in partnership with Circle X Theatre Co. and J.U.S.T. Toys Productions, presents the Maria Irene Fornes play FEFU AND HER FRIENDS staged as an immersive theatrical event inside Hollyhock House. It is a first for this historical beauty and an exciting project that unites the past and present in more ways than one.

Write Out Loud - an organization founded in 2007 with a commitment to inspire, challenge and entertain by reading short stories aloud for a live audience  - announces THE LAST TIME I SAW PARIS, the fifth production in their 10th Anniversary Season.  Write Out Loud Story Concerts bring literature to life - aloud - with rehearsed readings by professional actors. Each program explores specific themes by weaving a variety of stories, poems and music together into a literary tapestry.  Amanda Sitton, Veronica Murphy, Walter Ritter and other WOL favorites will perform and Mark Danisovszky will play the music of Paris. A pre-show reception starts at 6:15pm with a 7:00pm curtain.

Carnegie Hall today announced the names of the 78 young musicians selected from across the country for the second season of NYO2, a three-week, intensive summer program for outstanding American instrumentalists ages 14–17. Launched in summer 2016 as an extension of Carnegie Hall's acclaimed National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA), NYO2 aims to expand the pool of young musicians across the country equipped with the tools to succeed at the highest level, with a particular focus on attracting talented students from communities underserved by and underrepresented in the classical orchestral field. Both NYO-USA and NYO2 are free to all participants and offer the promising, young musicians the unique opportunity to play alongside talented peers, learn from a world-class faculty, and perform with special guest artists on the stages of some of the world's most prestigious concert halls.

Today we are continuing the male-centric portion of our ongoing series of interviews with the stars of Lifetime's DROP DEAD DIVA with the boss of the legal practice on the show and the main love interest for Kate Levering's character, Kim: the affable and charming stage and screen star Josh Stamberg. In addition to dishing all about Season 3 of DROP DEAD DIVA and the future for Parker, Kim and company at the legal firm, Stamberg and I also discuss many of the various guest stars on the show this season and seasons past - Liza Minnelli, Sharon Lawrence and Faith Prince included - as well as how he sees Parker himself, his own insights into the complex character and what he feels the future holds for his relationships on the show - Kim, Jane and beyond. London's National Theater has unveiled their upcoming list of productions, including a premiere by David Hare.

Grammy Award and Emmy Award winner and two-time Tony Award nominee Harry Connick, Jr. will return to Broadway in Spring 2009 in Nice Work If You Can Get It, a new musical comedy with music and lyrics by George and Ira Gershwin, and book by Joe DiPietro ( I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, All Shook Up). Two-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall (The Pajama Game, Wonderful Town) will direct and choreograph.

Broadway performers and award-winning television stars, Jill Eikenberry and Michael Tucker, have opened a new chapter to their life by working on the other side of the camera. The couple have produced an acclaimed documentary about the extraordinary life of artist Emile Norman.
