The New York Historical Society Marks President's Day with Exhibitions, Free Admission & Family Programs

The New-York Historical Society is pleased to offer free admission from Saturday, February 13, through Sunday, February 21, made possible by a generous grant from The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust. Celebrate Presidents' Day at the New-York Historical Society (N-YHS) on Saturday, February 13, with exhibitions examining the lives of Abraham Lincoln and Franklin D. Roosevelt, crafts, a fun-filled scavenger hunt and more. The New-York Historical Society will be open on Monday, February 15, Presidents' Day, from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM.

MTG Presents SIDE SHOW at MIT, 11/6 - 11/14

MTG will present Bill Russell and Henry Kreiger's Side Show at the MIT student center from November 6 through November 8. Based on the true story of Siamese twins Violet and Daisy Hilton who became stars during the Depression, Side Show is a portrait of two women joined at the hip whose extraordinary bondage brings them fame but denies them love. Told almost entirely in song, the show follows their progression from England to America, around the vaudeville circuit and to Hollywood on the eve of their appearance in the 1932 movie Freaks.

Five years after receiving a Drama Desk nomination for Best Revival of a Play for their production of Pullman Car Hiawatha, two short plays by Thornton Wilder, Keen Company (Artistic Director Carl Forsman, Executive Director Wayne Kelton) kicks of their tenth anniversary season with the New York professional premiere of Such Things Only Happen in Books, an evening of short plays by Thornton Wilder directed by Carl Forsman and Jonathan Silverstein.

'Betty Boop' Broadway Bound for 2010-2011
