The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey announced today it was extending the run of its critically acclaimed comedy Tovarich through September 1st. Added performances of this long-forgotten treasure, by French playwright Jacques Deval and adapted by the American author Robert E. Sherwood, are Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 29th, 30th and 31st at 8 p.m.; and Saturday August 31st and Sunday, September 1st at 2 p.m.

From the time of his Jazz Epiphany - upon hearing "jazz guitar pioneer Charlie Christian, and the classic recordings of Billie Holiday and Lester Young" - at the age of 15, outstanding guitarist/vocalist Perry Beekman has committed himself to the classic traditions of jazz, particularly by means of the Great American Songbook.

Ghostlight Records will release the Original Cast Recording of the acclaimed epic musical GIANTonline and in stores on May 21, 2013. Carlos Kalmar leads the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) in selections of Prokofiev's passionate Romeo and Juliet on Thursday, May 23 and Friday, May 24 at 8 p.m. at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall and Saturday, May 25 at 8 p.m. at the Music Center at Strathmore. The program also features Narong Prangcharoen's Phenomenon and Saint-Saens' Piano Concerto No. 3 performed by pianist Jean-Philippe Collard.

As part of the studio's 90th Anniversary celebration, eight of Warner Bros. Pictures' greatest gangster films - from Edward G. Robinson's 1931 classic Little Caesar to Martin Scorsese's Oscar-winning masterpiece The Departed[1] -- will now be available in two Blu-ray sets May 21. New York City Center will present Pacific Northwest Ballet in its first full-company performance in NYC since 1996, tonight, February 13-16, 2013.
Warner Home Video will release two new DVD box sets early in the first quarter as part of their 90th Anniversary initiative running throughout 2013: The Best of Warner Bros. 20 Film Collections: Best Pictures (January 29) and The Best of Warner Bros. 20 Film Collections: Musicals (today, February 12).
