Centenary Stage Company's Young Performers work tirelessly to perfect their dance moves, learn all of their lines, and get their vocal harmonies just right for the culmination of their training session and this spring is no exception! These talented young thespians between the ages of 8 and 18 will fill the Little Theater with a variety of shows and musicals to entertain audiences of all ages May 29th - June 7th with their annual Spring Festival of Shows. The Young Performers Workshop (YPW) has been hailed as a "state treasure" by Peter Filichia of the Star Ledger and brings in youth from Morris, Warren, Hunterdon and Sussex counties. This spring, the festival will feature How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying, Gypsy, and American Sampler: 100 Years of Broadway Dance. Performances will be held on select dates in the Little Theatre on the campus of Centenary College at 400 Jefferson Street in Hackettstown.

The Long Beach Playhouse presents Death of a Salesman on its Mainstage Theater from May 23 to June 20, 2015. It is the first time the Playhouse has ever done the play, which centers on the life of a traveling salesman who is past his prime, is struggling to remain relevant as his life crumbles around him.
Distinguished Concerts International New York (DCINY) presents Requiem à deux, a pairing of two exquisite French choral masterworks: the Requiems by composers Gabriel Fauré, conducted by Craig Jessop, and by Maurice Duruflé, conducted by DCINY Artistic Director and Principal Conductor Jonathan Griffith. The Distinguished Concerts Orchestra and Distinguished Concerts Singers – comprised of ensembles from the US, Canada, Mexico, France and Spain – are joined by soloists Erica Miller, soprano, Leah de Gruyl, mezzo-soprano, and baritone Stephen Lancaster. In addition, the concert on Sunday, June 7 at 2:00 pm at Carnegie Hall features the New York premiere of Homage – A Folk Concerto for Flute and Orchestra by composer Dinos Constantinides and featuring flutist Iris Derke.

Uptown Players opens its 2015 season with the zany Broadway comedy The Nance, the 2013 Tony Award and Outer Critics Circle Award winning play written by Douglas Carter Beane. The Nance stars B.J. Today in 1962, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum opened at the Alvin Theatre (now the Neil Simon Theatre), where it ran for 964 performances. A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Burt Shevelove and Larry Gelbart. Inspired by the farces of the ancient Roman playwright Plautus, specifically Pseudolus, Miles Gloriosus and Mostellaria, the musical tells the bawdy story of a slave named Pseudolus and his attempts to win his freedom by helping his young master woo the girl next door. The musical's original 1963 Broadway run won several Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Book. A Funny Thing has enjoyed several Broadway and West End revivals and was made into a successful film starring the original lead of the musical, Zero Mostel.
