Snowflake Avalanche presents Y York's play, Framed at 18th & Union: An Arts Space.

An ambitious artist, married to a local crime boss, tangles with a young, natural talent - whose husband, in turn, is desperate to ingratiate himself with the mob. Both marriages are tested on the rocks of respect, intimacy and, of all things, art criticism.

Performances are Friday November 9 to Sunday November 11; Thursday November 15 to Monday November 19; and Friday November 23 to Sunday November 25. Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Monday performances are at 7:30 PM; Sunday matinees are at 3PM. Tickets may be obtained at https://framed.brownpapertickets.com.

The production is directed by Mark Lutwak; the cast is Susanna Burney, Joe Seefeldt, Maile Wong and Jeremy Steckler. Set design by Jessica Dodge; costume design by Frances Kenny; lighting design by Ryan Dunn. All music composed by Wayne Horvitz as performed by Zony Mash. The set features original paintings commissioned from Seattle artists Yuliya Brooks, Jessica Dodge, Laurel Dodge, Nancy Kiefer, Deborah Faye Lawrence, Kelly Lyles, Fiona McGuigan, Cindy Small, and Mitchel Spry. The production is made possible, in part, by an arts project grant from 4Culture and a Snap Grant from the Washington State Arts Commission.

Seattle audiences have seen Y York's Sycorax with the late great Demene Hall at 18th & Union, The Impossibility of Now with Terry Moore at Thalia's Umbrella, It Comes Around with Lori Larsen at Theatre Under the Influence and The Snowflake Avalanche with Anthony Lee, Laurence Ballard, Olga Sanchez and Demene E. Hall at the Seattle Group Theatre. Seattle Children's Theatre has presented Afternoon of The Elves, Getting Near to Baby, Crash, Frog & Toad (Forever), The Portrait The Wind The Chair, Witch of Blackbird Pond, Nothing is the Same, Mask of the Unicorn Warrior, and The Garden of Rikki Tikki Tavi.
