Seattle Center Hosts Bastille Day - A French Celebration 7/9-10

Seattle Center Festál: Bastille Day - A French Celebration! offers visual, auditory and tactile exploration and insights into the culture of France, Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10, 10:30 a.m.- 6 p.m. in the Fisher Pavilion, on the Fisher Lawn and in Center House.

Join us and swoon over Citroën cars, sip wonderful wines, shop for French products and parlez français at this annual festival of French culture and regional presence. The Celebration offers delicious foods, cooking demonstrations, children's activities and games, music, theater and hands-on workshops.

Special events and guests this year include:
Bistrot de la Bastille with traditional French summer foods
Wine gardens and tasting seminars
Fun and educational children's activities with The Children's Museum
Musical acts for all ages including Pearl Django, Bonnie Birch, Eric Kaiser, DJ Eric Lenger, Fathia et les Troubadours, Ranger and the Re-Arrangers
French theatrical performances by Playing French
The Seattle Center Festál cultural celebrations highlight The Common forms of tradition and expression among ethnic communities in the Pacific Northwest, while underscoring their unique creative contributions, customs, foods and ideals. Each event offers moving entertainment and fascinating insight into a different culture of the world.
