Outrageous. Irreverent. Seattle Treasures. Comedians Lisa Koch and Peggy Platt (aka Dos Fallopia) bring their sketch comedy chops and a trunkful of characters to ACT this December in Ham for the Holidays: Close Encounters of the Pork Rind.

Directed by David Hunter Koch, the long-running cult holiday series (think Carol Burnett on steroids) has found a hammy holiday home at ACT's Falls Theatre, in collaboration with the Central Heating Lab. With characters like mother-daughter country duo The Spudds, the tiny but proud Sequim Gay Men's Chorus, and the angst-ridden Slam Poet, Platt and Koch create an evening full of wickedly funny social satire, musical parody, and razor-sharp zingers.
Ham contains a cornucopia of dysfunctional characters:
• Jewish lounge act Schmeck Attack is mistakenly booked at a Xmas party;
• Crassword puts a titillating spin on the popular game show;
• Northwest icons Paul Allen, Bill Gates, Dale Chihuly and Jean Enersen band together in super group, The Seatles;
• Country duo The Spudds present Mama's bizarre mash up of classic TV and holiday films with "Meet Me in Mayberry with a Vengeance".
Ham features performances by Platt, Koch, Michael Oaks, and musical director D.J. Gommels. The creative team includes Robert J. Aguilar (Set/Lighting), Candace Frank (Costumes), Robin Macartney (Props) and Lisa Koch (Sound/Video).
Ham for the Holidays contains adult humor and themes, GLBT content. It is recommended for ages 14+.

About Dos Fallopia?
Koch and Platt have collaborated as Dos Fallopia for more than 20 years, and have penned shows like Deja Poo, Pretty Girls, Not Too Bright, Twin Sisters of Different Cul-de-sacs, Glazing Saddles and Lard Potion No. 9. A London Connection review declared, "Could they be the long lost love of Doris Day and Divine? Big, brash, and completely mad..." and the Seattle Weekly proclaimed, "Timing is everything, and theirs is perfect." The duo has recorded one CD (My Breasts are Out of Control) and 2 DVD's (Ham for the Holidays: A Lard Day's Night & Pretty Girls, Not Too Bright).
Koch has recorded 4 solo CD's, has composed an Off-Broadway musical ("27 Rue de Fleurus"), had one of her songs sampled in a Jay-Z tune, and has been seen on LOGO and Olivia cruises. Platt was voted Seattle's best comic 9 times, is a respected Seattle actor, voice-over and radio personality (Fat Girl Follies, Rocky Horror Show, Holiday Survival Game Show), and has opened for Jay Leno and Cindy Lauper.
