2010 KAC Members' Exhibit Application Deadline Set For 6/9

The 2010 KAC Members' Exhibit is fast approaching, and this year we are privileged to have gallery owner/art dealer Gunnar Nordstrom serving as juror. Since opening in 1991, Gunnar Nordstrom Gallery has served the Eastside and the Seattle metropolitan area by bringing artists and art-lovers together, contributing much to our vibrant arts community.

Mr. Nordstrom was recently featured in City Arts Magazine's"The Curator's Eye" for his Modern Masters exhibit, featuring work by Joan Miro and Pablo Picasso, among others. He has done much to promote the work of local artists, while providing a venue for locals to see international masterworks. As both curator and art dealer, Nordstrom's discerning eye for artistic excellence and his appreciation of a wide range of mediums and ideas makes him well suited to make selections for this year's KAC Members' Exhibit.

The annual KAC Members' Exhibit is a fantastic chance for our members to have their work both reviewed by a professional juror and exhibited in the KAC Gallery. All mediums of work are welcome for consideration, including printmaking, photography, sculpture, painting, drawing and mixed media. Submission is free. We hope that you will participate in this year's exhibition.

The Kirkland Arts Center is offering an opportunity for KAC members to have their work professionally photographed, in preparation for the Members' Exhibit application deadline. To schedule a photo session, please email Cable Griffith. If you are not currently a KAC Member, this is the perfect time to join!

June 9: Member Application Deadline
August 6, 6 - 8:30 PM: Opening Reception & Members' Party
August 7 - September 2: Exhibition Dates
