Something wonderful has taken to the stage at Buffalo ‘s Irish Classical Theatre, as Arthur Miller’s THE PRICE is being presented in a near perfect production. This seldom produced play may sound somewhat stilted in it’s formality of language, but the story continues to be captivating, all these years after it’s 1968 Broadway premiere.

Christmas is fully represented on the stage in the small Teatro Círculo Theater. All is not quite normal though. On the left side of the stage there is a decorated tree with presents underneath. The same thing is duplicated on the right side except this group hangs upside down from the ceiling. Our world and the legend of Kris Kringle are turned upside down in The Santa Closet. Claire DeLiso's scenic design beautifully prepares the viewer for this topsy-turvy tale.

The eclectic program will span traditional, classical, and contemporary works, including duets of koto + shamisen, shamisen + cello (Hikaru Tamaki) and koto + tabla (Anubrata Chatterjee). The recital will take place in Japan Society's serene and intimate Murase Room, with a cash bar at 7 pm. Tickets are $25, $20 for Japan Society members, available at japansociety.org/performingarts.
