One of the most popular and most recorded singers of the past thirty years, superstar Vince Gill announced today that he will resume touring this summer with 18 dates and more to be announced in the weeks to come. It is the first time Gill has toured with his band since 2019. Featured on the tour will be vocalist Wendy Moten, who has most recently become known for her breathtaking performances on NBC's The Voice in 2021.

The inspiring true story of how renowned Star Trek actress Nichelle Nichols pioneered the NASA recruiting program to hire people of color and the first female astronauts for the space agency in the late 1970s and 1980s, Woman in Motion: Nichelle Nichols, Star Trek and the Remaking of NASA will open in select theaters for one night only on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. The Ridgefield Playhouse will screen the film at 7pm as part of the Cohen and Wolf, P.C. Movie Series.

Emerson College, the nation's premier institution for the arts, communication, and the liberal arts, today announced its honorary degree recipients for 2019. On Sunday, May 12, during Emerson College's 139th Commencement ceremony, the college will honor four award-winning scholars, authors, writers, and filmmakers for their contributions and efforts to highlight diverse stories and voices through their work. Award-winning journalist, speaker and author Soledad O'Brien; award-winning scholar and writer Nell Irvin Painter; Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist, Emmy- nominated filmmaker and theatrical producer Jose Antonio Vargas; and the President of Miami Dade College Eduardo J. Padron will each receive honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degrees. O'Brien will give the commencement address.

Austin-based director Tyson Culver and fellow Austinite, author Robert Bryce, announce a documentary project entitled, 'Juice: How Electricity Explains The World.' The film, based on Bryce's forthcoming book of the same name, has taken them to several continents to interview people about electricity, the world's most-important and fastest-growing form of energy. They talked to a Nobel-prize winning economist, a California gubernatorial candidate, cryptocurrency miners, a video-game pioneer and dozens of others. They have been to India, Lebanon, Iceland and several U.S. states. Puerto Rico and South Korea are next. 'Juice' is in the final stages of production and will be released in tandem with 'Juice' (the book) in early 2019. Check out the sizzle reel here.
