Midsummer! is a modern verse translation of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream adapted by Tony Award-winning writer Jeff Whitty and directed by Drama Desk nominee Kim Weild. This U.K. premiere co-production from the CMU Center for New Work and Play On Shakespeare features a cast and creative team of Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama artists, blending Appalachian folk and house music, queer liberation, and Pittsburgh's industrial aesthetic. The cast includes Celia Evans, Christian Trimmingham, Elijah Strain, Jakai-Nyasia Norfleet, Logan Yao, Moyo Ifafore, Rusty Daniel, Siahvash Marshall, Suri Noelle, and Von Markarian. Performances take place daily at 12:30pm during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
